a torrent for eves latest client

djmaurodjmauro Member Posts: 19

Does torrent exist ... they do have theyr own "torrent downloader" which is useless - no way t olimit speed or resume (yes im on  1 mbit line). I did get theyrs before the downtime... left on  (download time 7h at max speed) and  later i found out that  the  maintenance/downtime  had killed my download... and nothign to resume.

IS there a real torrent file for the client? so i could resume and limit speed (when im using pc/internet  - not  to choke the line) and full when im not.

Not to mention thats its  possible season for thunderstorms.

I looked for the same thing myself when I was going to try out the game for 14 days free. Never could find one. Could you perhaps find one that was close to the latest update and download that and then patch?

I used the torrent downloader, but at the end it kept deleting the downloaded client for some reason.

I ended up using the standard one and to my amazement it downloaded just as fast as the torrent version did.

    Eleanor Rigby.

You can buy it at most stores that sell PC games in the US now. Not sure about other countries and I'm not really sure what benifits you get from it.

Still the issue of patching though, but you can't get around that, I don't think. I've never seen links for the patches, except the one that updates in the client. Then again, I don't really pay much attention to it either. lol

1st not from US - but stores most liley have.. or ebay.

But no money (financial problems for now - thats why ill give it a trial try for now).

The speed for normal/torrent is same... but on a 1 mbit line its capped at 110 at best (and i cant do much else then) around 7h download.

I kept it on over night... by the tiem i woke up  i saw a a" unable to resolve hostname" style message and all that was downloaded was deleted.

Thats why i usually prefer torrent (so i can resume in case of a connection failures,  storm etc or limit speed when im dooing soem other stuff) for large files.

Closest  client was quite old... avg 900mb or so smaller in size.... (patching would be a hell).

    There is no torrent downloader.
Just download it from the cdn. It's faster anyways. Any semi decent download manager will download it without corruption and able to resume.

all the links provided on the site  are actually some  weird premade downloaders - without resume option. There is no link to a direct file.

PS !  i started the online installer version.

What is soo oweird about it is ... it ignores the  max download speed!!!

its maxed out by isp 1mbit up/down. thats 128kb/sec up OR down and ideal perfect conditions. in reality... 110-112 down.

What the downloader does tho is that its downloading at 256kb/sec !!! and its been stable on that speed since i started. Sometimes even going up to 257kb/sec.

No idewa from where  or how did it get double speed. And unless the downloader shows the %, total downloaded  and time  wrong .. it actually is downloading at 2x speed.

its not. it downloads a 7mb ot so setup... and mid installing it starts to download. With no option to resume if it should crash/cancel etc.

    You're wrong, it downloads a 2.6gb executable.
