I just went to one of thoes meeting stones and they have no use... Its just a stone where people site beside, I hope thats not how it works because that is a just a waste. Like come on people already meet infront of intense to look for a group, a big stone wont help groups find... Corret me if Im wrong, but my server has been down all day so I made a new character and I ran to one of the stones..maby Im a low lvl to get use of it? Lets hope
lol, they are just figuring out how to do this thing... they didn't have the same challenges with diablo II and starcraft or even warcraft III so its going to take them some time to figure it out. they seem like they are trying but they just haven't quite gotten the concept quite yet. i think they realize a patch this big is not in their best interest so i'm thinking this will be one of the last really big patches for awhile. i think they'll go with smaller content releases. you would think that they would be able to get stuff right faster but this kind of setup is new to them. one day they'll figure out what they ought to do, until that day... we cry.

A Patch this big???? Its just a bunch of bugfixes that should have been on for months, and 1 instance. 1 instance after 3 months. Ah, and the new interfase (which Addon people have been doing since beta). WoW is a joke. THe concept is very interesting, but they have no idea of what they are doing. After all this time they still cant keep the servers up. Even the forum crashes, and the CM are completely clueless. They either nerf or just screw up most classes (before Pallies, now rogues). THe game is so easy you can max in 2 months....and there is a grand total of 4 instances you can do at max level. I doubt many people will stay after 6 months if they dont get their act togetner. And dont even get me started about battlegroudns...PvP is completely pointless.
And the best part? Their answers!
"We have no other information for now" "We are having problems, we are doing our best to fix them, no ETA".
Yeah, this really isn't that big of a patch. A new instance, a few new quests, and <something else small I was going to say, but forget it now> is the only content in this patch.

BAH i was hoping for new weapons like machine guns, uzis or BFG2000... Seems to me there are 4 possibilities here: a) blizz made WoW when they all were on druggs and now the drug is wearing off b) they are working so hard on honor system and battlegrounds that they forget about everything else (including their wives and girlfriends) c) blizz was kidnapped by aliens and were replaced by mindless zombies d) SOE secretly bought rights to WoW
Pick your poison
I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.
The damned servers are down just about every tuesday. Its like clockwork. I love the game, but there is more downtime for this game than any other of the MMOs that I have played (Granted that is only four others) and I am frustrated...
I don't know if Blizzard is lost, but they just lost me. My wife and I have both cancelled our WoW accounts. It's like a group of talented, competent adults came up with the concept for the game, but then turned it over to their autistic children to operate and maintain.
Im on my last days of subscription, cancelled week ago. Its a good game, best MMORPG out the by far, its just strange they have not implemented any kinda of PvP yet, not even a counter.
I am not very familiar with what they will be trying to implement with the battlegrounds but if its not what DAoC did (RvR) they would be as alienated (read stupid) as SOE.
Gimme a break. Deep down inside, you all know Blizzard is OWNING the MMORPG market as we speak.
Read the forums... their largest Threads go up to like what... 2000 posts? 3000 to be generous?
How many subscribers do they have? 1,500,000 !!!!!!!!
Until at least 10,000 or 100,000 people start complaining, it proves those 2000-3000 complainers are just childish whinners that should just cancel their accounts and try finding better.
Funny thing is... what is better? NOTHING! Try finding an MMORPG that's more stable than WoW and has what WoW has to offer.
Okay I can name 1... Dark Age of Camelot! Problem is... I'm still having fun in WoW, so why should I cancel now and go back to DaoC when I still love WoW?
Yesterday's patch went SOOOO smoothly!!! F*** I remember in Star Wars Galaxies, they'd release a patch, and for the entire night, I COULD NOT PLAY AT ALL!!! The game was so unstable, the servers were down for hours non-stop. I hated SOE for that.
WoW... I come back home... oh, patch time... takes 1 hour... okay nothing I haven't seen before. Try to play the game... hmm... stuck at the login. Retry 1 hour later, OMG! It works. Played for 3 hours straight! Not to mention the game was flawless. The new patch was not buggy to the point that I could not play compared to my experience with Star Wars Galaxies and my 1 month of gameplay in EQ2!
Try finding that kind of gaming quality in SOE games!!!!!!
ok ive been a big fan of blizzard up until yesterday when i had to get the patch. i dont know what happened but there was no way for me to contact blizzard. the site was down and their phone was fucking busy. HOW IS A HUGE COMPANIES PHONE, with an automated voice, GONNA BE BUSY!!!!!!!! im still a huge fan of WoW but my feelings for blizzard are slowly diminishing

Yes they have the biggest market, and they will have since they have brought so many new players who used to play WC3, SC, Diablo etc. And they won't lose it so soon, the first MMORPG always has a special place in your heart and you end up tolerating it way more than any other.

Childish whiners are in same proportion to guys who vote 10/10/10 for WoW on this site, it's a great game but I know 5 dudes old enough to be my dads that quit because of constant problems logging in, not everyone complains, you'll find that casual players don't often post..
Anyway I'm not saying WoW is bad, I think it has a good quest system and that's fun overall, but low level cap + mindless pvp will break it
I will say one thing. Blizzard sucks at documenting their patch notes. There are TONS of additions not listed in that patch, and some are quite profound. All the graphic card additions/fixes/tweaks have really made this game look awesome (go play with AA, AF, and bloom now...then jump in some water and look around). Then add in the tons of other changes people have been finding, it seems they only like to document about 1/6th of their patch.

That is EXACTLY what happened with WoW. I couldn't get on my server until 9pm est last night. And when I did get on it was laggy as all hell.
I don't know what awesome server you are on, but I want to join it. Every post you make says how you can always play the game, server is never down, etc. etc. etc.... (In other words I think your a fanboi, because a server like that doesn't exist).

Feel free to join me on Feathermoon. There hasn't been a server crash that I've experienced. There hasn't been any downtime that I've experienced outside of the regular Tuesday morning patch. Lag bug hits every so often, esp. in Wetlands and Duskwood, but it's very tolerable. There's 20 servers that have trouble - the other 68 I think have minimal issues.

Eredar never crashes to my knowledge at least. But yesterday the game was unplayable and today it hung up 2 times in 1 hour. BTW, first thing that happened to me after the patch yesterday (b4 egtting booted from game) was the (in)famous crouched run...
Also, the tuesdays dowtimes are actually maintenances since this is indeed the first content patch in 3 months.
Many times Eredar is up but login server is not working properly which to me means the same, I cant play.
Once PvP is implemented i will be back, hopefully login issues will be resolved by then.

If this is what happens, maybe it's a good thing Blizzard doesn't come out with new content often.

can anyone not login or is it just me?
Before I was able to login and just play on an alt. server, but now i cant even get through.
Nope, got home at around 8pm est been stuck at authenticating.
I think I've given up on em for tonight. maybe tomorrow.

LVL 60 RAID @!!!!!!
A sad thing is I hadn't played for a few days, so I decide to jump on - I see that I can't log in and I am not bothered by that at all.
A month ago I would have been upset. I think this means I am officially burnt out on WoW.
Maybe if and when I can log back in the changes from the patch will renew my interest. There is always hope.
