Square Enix has released this latest video for Final Fantasy XIV depicting the veritable metamorphosis the game has undergone in the transition from alpha to beta. What do you think of the difference?

Combat is much much better now, and the lighting effects make this game look even better.
The animations looks amazing, especially the running animation.

I agree. A big difference in a lot of things from alpha to beta. SE is doing a great job of cleaning the game up and listening to the players. I bet we can expect more of this between beta and launch.
I agree, and the changes to the combat system seem westernized compared to XI. much more appealing. My biggest hope though is that SE finds a way to kill off RMT completely. RMT is the only reason I quit XI.
Lol Hello, this is really nothing new. You build the frame, put up the walls, apply primer, apply base coat. IE most dev.s (for the most part) in the early development of a game are not worried about graphics,but mechanics. you see it with all upcoming mmos. Looks good,but nothing new ...in one senese
I'm really excited for this game, the video looks great and in my opinion is a big improvement over the alpha videos. (which also was visually nice)
