Most cherished moment was first joining Rohan Online back when it was first released. Moving from RuneScape to such as well-polished 3D game made my eyes almost pop out my head, and every time I walk around where I first popped up on the map in a daze brings back the daze I was in, the friends I've made and lost in the two years I've been there, and how perfect everything seemed to be.
I do have to say, watching the 27-hour straight all-out PvP war containing over 400 people in a very small area at the Limestone foothill Bindstone for an entire day was incredible, and brings back the memories of the good ol' days, and comes close at second.
I would say another one of mine is right before we pulled Terris Thule in Plane of Nightmare B with my guild....
/occ "If you type /ex it will reveal the experience you have accumulated in raid."
Man as soon as I said that, the Shadow Knight Troll Raid leader said <<< Pulling Terris Thule >>>
(if you type /ex in EQ you exit the game)
As soon as he said that and pulled, half of the raid already logged off or went link dead. Even most of the officers and guild leader. We wiped, the raid leader yelled at me. I was only expecting everyone to be like oh good one, Eron. No, they actually fell for it. The guild leader sent me a tell and said that was by far the best time to say that and told me it didn't mater what the raid leader said. That was really funny because I really didn't expect that to happen.
My favorite MMO memory is the first time I was in a raid that took down a Balrog in LotRO. At the time, it was a 4 hour journey (with 5 boss fights) just to get where he was being held prisoner. I still have his sword as a trophy displayed outside my home in Bree-land.
Hedonismbot: Your latest performance was as delectable as dipping my bottom over and over into a bath of the silkiest oils and creams.
Our group had just ventured to Velious in EQ, found a cave place to camp full of spiders. We camped that place for several hours and then suddenly tihs spider queen (named mob) popped up, gave us a real challenge and surprise and then we killed her and she dropped a robe. We camped that area for a few days to get robes for all the casters and then, one day we came down and the spot was taken so we moved on. That one moment of surprise was just magic and pretty awesome.
parrotpholk-Because we all know the miracle patch fairy shows up the night before release and sprinkles magic dust on the server to make it allllll better.
3. Pre CU/NGE SWG- seeing my first Jedi using a dual blade lightsaber deflect and kill a Bounty hunter out to get him in the middle of Theed. I was in shock since back then you were lucky if you saw any Jedi...
When I saw my first jedi I was resting in the cantina in theed when i heard some fighting outside and every one ran out. I was just in time to see the bounty hunter incap then dramatically walk over to deliver the deathblow. I cheered since he was imperial i still remember the sound of the jedis saber lighting up.

Velious was pretty awesome. Remember Velks? That place was crazy... like 10 stories high, and the whole place was made out of slippery ice. I think that was my second favorite place to fall to death, behind Kelethin of course
Getting my Water Sprinkler of Nem Ahnk in EQ1... I was the third cleric in our guild to complete the quest... I will never forget the day ragefire popped for me.
Imagine camping a random spawn on a weeklong timer, in an non instanced dungeon with raid caliber trash mobs .... and EVERY cleric in a raiding guild on the WHOLE server itching to be there when it popped....
And that is AFTER having to clear two planes to complete other parts of the quest.
hellish quest... but the feeling of accomplishment after finishing has never been matched by any other gaming experience. In WoW I got benediction for my priest which was by comparison a cake walk.
Haha! I remembered my guild of 45+ people trying Ragefire fight in Skyfire Mountains. We tried 3 times and fail. Then ONE group of the top guild on our server at the time took him down no problem. Their cleric got his epic done. That was a real sad day. Ahh you shoulda saw the morality afterwards many people quit the guild that time. Fortunately for our cleric the gm's got rid of that other guy's epic and he had to start over for taking our kill.
My fondest memory was in UO. There was a guy casting gate portals to his home "for sale" I decided to check it out, and when I got there he had 3 PK friends waiting to kill me. I hid and stole all of their weapons and reagents and killed 2 of them and ran back into the portal when the guy summoned it again lol.
I became one of the most hated people in my nation, my guild leader and I both of us, were very hated. The top #1 guild, which we were not a part of, would camp in BH, the only grinding spot left and the only real free PK zone, and take all the mobs. Unfortunately, you can't PK your own nation. We hired the other nation to do it for us- kinda. We told tell the other nation's top guilds where our top guild was at all times so they were constantly PK'd and farmed for soul crystals. Me and my guild leader were left untouched and became the only two people in our WHOLE NATION to be able to level at all. A war started between the nations and our nation's leveling came to an abrupt halt since all of the opposing nation was literally camping the outside of every town. No one- except for me and my guild leader- was allowed to leave and/or level.
That's what the #1 guild got for screwing over his own nation. It became such a huge deal the GM's got involved and there was a no town camping rule enforced. Oh well. Too late. My guild leader and I were already fed. ^_^
Mine must be from Anarchy Online, so many many memories, the raids on Omni 1, finding a Yalmaha in mission loot and all the people.
zomg... getting that first Yalm and... FLIGHT!!!!!!!!!!11
so many memories from AO... entering the grid first time
getting enough skill to use the fixer shop
putting in first implants
figuring out i can blitz missions
finding odd creatures out in the middle of nowhere...
neut4life...
first party at Reet's with a real DJ and dancing...
Hehehe oooh yea, so many nice memories! Yea the first time I got to fly my newly found Yalmaha, I think I just flew around for a couple of days, exploring all odd and beautiful places of Rubi Ka.. aah the good ol days for sure

Man the Yalms were so expensive on the auction terminals lol. I remember seeing my first alien ship beam down aliens right outside a player town when that expansion came out...good 'ole AO..
No way to separate them, both from feelings of achievement and all-round fun....
Getting all the way through the Lugian Citadel to the SIK chest in Asheron's Call with my brand new Silifi of Crimson Stars
First non-wipe completion of Molten Core (easily the best instance in WoW) even with the walking liability that was a guild warlock called Yonglock
First trips venturing out into the Teth Playground, 3 Towers, Direlands in Asheron's Call
Say what you like about dated graphics - the gameplay, character development , encounters and sheer scope of Asheron's Call put it head and shoulders above, every other game I've played, tried or watched since - wish I could play it again, but the server connection tech is keeping me out.
Baning the Blood Axe Clan on Mourning in Shadowbane, destorying half their city. Going to bed, waking up 6 hours later to see the crew.. STILL destroying BAC's city.
Good times.
Never to be reproduced.
I kill other players because they're smarter than AI, sometimes.
My most fun moment in an MMO is in the Ryzom Ring. I had created a scenario called Olepi's Moon, and published it into the game, offering cats (XP potions) as a reward. Lots of people came in, and it was a total blast to follow them around (invisible, as the Dungeon Master) watching how they solved my puzzles and encounters.
Another great moment was in the early DAOC, when our guild captured our first Outpost in RvR space. I had to run up to complete the capture, and when we did, it was a true blast!
Getting a Bone-Bladed Claymore in East Commonlands. The gnome auctioning wanted 100 PP, and I offered all I had (40 PP). He said "go get it". I ran to the bank, because money weighed encumbrance in early EQ, and ran all the way back and ended up with my first formidable weapon.
Asheron's Call and the small clan The Dragonsworn.
We had a lot of fun together before things like ventrilo existed. There wasn't even a clan chat channel, everyone just lived in the same area of the game.
I enjoyed running newer players through dungeons and exploring the new content that the game added EVERY month for only $10/mo.
Playing a jedi in old time SWG (Pre-9, early 2004) and accidentally starting a protracted, near city-wide fight after accidentally igniting a LS outside the starport:
Back then in SWG, Jedi were still rare and very powerful compared to "normal players", but what a lot of players didn't know, was that when you were a low level one, you were VERY weak, and any special abilites you had, were tied to a regenerating force bar, and once that force bar was gone, you were toast. Also, at the time, because Jedi were "hunted" in the timeline of that time, everytime a jedi used a lightsaber in public, received a "temporary enemy flag" or TEF, and that meant EVERYONE (and I mean everyone, not in your group) could shoot at you. As a result, mostly people did their "grinding" either out in the wilderness or with bodyguards. And stayed in hiding the rest of the time.
So, prior to heading out into the wilderness I had to stop in one of the major population centers and get some enhancement buffs, both to ease the difficulty of grinding and to lessen the chance of death (3 deaths and your toon was deleted).
As I was waiting in line to get a buff, one of the usual annoying low level NPCs walked up and starting an interaction. Tired of looking at the thing for the hundreth time, I clicked on the guy and attacked him. But, I accidentally hit the "switch weapon" button I had set up and the LS fired up (instead of a common blaster I carried in the open), activating my TEF and giving the chance for EVERYONE in the vacinity, probably 50-100 people or so, the chance to light me up, unarmored and unbuffed. At the time, most people had not seen a jedi out in the open, let alone fought one.
Well, all hell broke loose. I had 10 people shooting me immedately with more jumping in, and was getting group invites left and right from people wanting to help me out by grouping with me and getting group TEF, and allow them to shoot at the people shooting at me. Well, I accepted an invite from a guy who was a well known RP guild leader that "supported" Jedi at the time, and soon enough there were 20 people fighting the rest of everyone shooting at me, with more people going "PvP overt" to attack overt players. A huge mess, much of which I was not even there for, but the group TEFs kept the combat going. The whole time I was (force) running for my life in between buildings, behind walls and all the rest. It took me almost 20 mins to get "safe", after running to another city and getting off planet.

Asheron's Call was a great game, but you should be a bit more specific.
Things that stick out in my mind from Asheron's Call Darktide...
The shadow invasion, being in Qalaba'r and running out into the mountains exploring only to find really dangerous umbris and panumbris shadows that were capable of one shot killing me with magic and absolutely destroying me with their punches.
Finding a massive shadow spire outside of Cragstone sorrounded by at least 30 or 40 shadows, which were dangerous as hell and trying to find a way inside of it.
Seeing Martine (dev playing a story character) come through Zaikhal killing everyone in his path.
Buying components in the Baishi mage shop only to have Hamburglar come out of nowhere and start casting ring spells killing everyone inside, and then get chased out of town by around 20 guys and some how make it out alive. I wonder who that guy was, would love to ask him about it.
Recalling to my lifestone in Ayan Baqur only to see the ground carpetted with flaming arrows with people fighting all over the place. This was during the AB wars.
Darkfall
A massive raid on Murder Herd's city involving many different clans, there were about 200 guys there at least, one group attacked from the opposite side of the city. The initial approach was incredible, there were volleys of mana missiles flying toward the city. Once we actually entered the city and killed off the initial defenders it was quite dull, consisting of around 200 guys repeatedly killing around 15 - 20 naked people at the bindstone and siege hammering their city down.
