Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning: Mythic Provides Update on Transition

MikeBMikeB Community ManagerAdministrator RarePosts: 6,555

We recently reported that GOA would no longer be publishing Warhammer Online in Europe, though details were scant in the initial announcement. We now know that Mythic will be taking the reigns of WAR in Europe on July 7th.

In order to anticipate any issues, Mythic will be taking a "data stamp" of player and guild progression from June 29th and if the need arises, they will have to roll back to this data. This means that guild and player progression will not be saved for a few days, so plan accordingly.

Mythic will be monitoring things following the transition, and the game will be free to all existing subscribers during this period, while European subscribers will receive two weeks of free game time beginning July 7th.

It's only now starting to gain potential with GOA out of the way.

Sadly it's too late. They simply should never give it to GOA.

Make DAoC free to play with like a £4 monthly fee to get into pvp zones then the good old days will be back, not this lame ass warhammer.

Not even sure what to think about this game myself. I had such high hopes for it in the begining and now it has become nothing more than a pacifier until something better comes along. Final Fantasy 14 maybe?

I don't think GOA was the main reason WAR never did that well (things in NA isn't much better after all) but firing their butt wont hurt.

I doubt they will gain many players of that, improving the game is the way to do that (particularly the endgame).

I resubbed a couple months back, for just a month, and it has improved but I stopped playing because it does still need work (endgame). The battles just don't really feel like they have "life" to them. I feel that way about Lotro too. Really not sure how to explain it but some MMOs have more life to them when it comes to the combat; this game just feels empty when I'm fighting someone. I don't get excited when I kill 2 enemies coming at me.

Am quitting WAR as well, it has become a zerg fest since the patch and frankly am tired of it and with the city in constant state of attack/defend have not been abled to visit either the bank, vendors or trainers.   My time online is usually in the late evenings during primetime during same hours that city is in defend/attack stages....  (yep cancelled account and filed a complaint about it on the forums, seems am not the only one that was quitting). IMHO unless they fix this problem WAR stands to lose of subscribers.

Im not a EU player, im from Australia and i really enjoy this game

Have no idea why people say that it has no potential, because i love it, or maybe thats just my opinion. All i know is i will still be playing until the day it dies.
