Get over it people... Patches cost money, Servers cost money, Internet cost money.
I am so tired of hearing about people complain about how this game cost a monthy fee or you need to play to play.
Its not a full MMO like wow or other games. But they still have to pay for the servers you play on.
Just like Every other FPS that exist out there. Someone somewhere is paying for the servers. The servers you dont pay for are companys out there adversising about the servers you can rent from them. Therefore someone pays for it for the guild/clan to have somewhere they can play.
IMO People need to get over it. Just like when companys that have "free games" but then for extra maps you have to pay for them. Do you think the people who made extra maps did it for free. doubtful. Only free maps I have ever seen were created by other players as a hobbie or just as a fan.
Nothing is free in this world. Work retail you will learn that quick.

The problem is not to pay for an online game...the real problem with APB is...there are 100000000 online games better and with 1000000 more content then apb and free...why pay for a game that looks good, its fun only for a few days or hours..and then its over?
Its a damn online game suposed to last months with alot of content..but APB has nothing, becomes boring and old fast..and its 50 dollars and has this payment...
Either put more..mutch more content in the game to ask for the money..or drop the price and make f2p with a store...and keep the poor small content...
The most imba costumization in any mmo to date is not enough, as we will see soon enough when people leave the game after they get bored with nothing else to do but play as a payed 3rd person shooter.
As i said in another post..the price of the game will drop really soon and the payment method also...and it will not be enough..they must work on the game put more stuff..atm its an online paint program to costumize stuff and a shooter with cars nothing else.
Give me a link to a better free MMORPG.

He basically described every free MMO on the market now. With APB however, I felt quite different.
Do you think people that make free games make them for free? HAYEL NAW they make them for moneys! lmao. The reason people are moaning about APB not being free is because the game has no substance to it what so ever.
Because *those* games are player hosted and save the developers buku bucks. Pay attention to the MW2 debaucle much?
They stopped hosting their own servers in order to save money. Hacks abound.

Thank you APB/RTW for not charging the $75 the box game is worth along with the $14.99 monthly fee that is costs you to keep the servers going. Okay for one minute lets not think of APB as an MMO....
Its a 3rd person shooter.
I cant compare it to any xbox games because your xbox is the server 99% of the time.
So lets compare it to counter strike. That game has nothing to it.
Kill some dudes, get money, restart. People still pay for servers to play that game. But it lacks depth.
What it comes down to is what is fun. I played for 5 hours and I had no idea. If it is worth 10 dollars a month to have fun. (34 cents) a day. But dont say it should be free. It doesnt have enough depth.
The game is unique. It does have to be a MMO clone it did its own thing. I think its doing it well for being out 1 day so far.
Dont fight each other.
This game is P2P + Item shop with barely content.
There will be always people who will like the game and its ok, but the question is will it be enough for devs?

Oh and about the free time that comes with the game. They gave you 50 Hours vs 30 days. Which is awesome. I could not play for a week. And guess what? I didnt waste a week of game time. Oh that is so terrible.
Also all mmo's give game time when you buy it so why state something so pointless.

It's all about ripping you off, they are the ones having fun(getting your money) while you have wasted $50 on junk.
For anything decent subscription based American game, your gonna have to go back pre 2005.
I dont know what to make of your analogy of there are 100000000 online games better and with 1000000 more content then apb and free. the only game that comes close to apb is GTA4 and that can only support 16 players in multiplayer mode. Other then that, which isnt even close to being apb, there are no other games out there that even resemble apb.

RTM is selling an expensive game with nothing more then fps combat and an online paint to costumize stuff, 3 small maps with cars...tell me a game with 10000 more content for free...: all of them
But its your money..you can buy it for 10000 dollars i dont care..but im not paying 50 dollars plus rmt points to play a game with a few hours of fun and content.
As a game APB rocks..as an online multiplayer with that price and pay system its not worth it.
Put more content in the game, bigger maps, professions, pve stuff to do also..give gamers choices and stuff to get busy with..different stuff..and its worth 50 dollars..and monthly fee
I bought the game and am happy with it for the time being. For me to continue being happy with this game (and subsequently pay $10 per month), they will need to show me that $7 of my $10 is going to content development. Two districts of the same gametype will provide me with ~2 months of moderate entertainment... This game has the foundation for infinite entertainment, but they will have to keep creating it (or find a way for the users to create it themselves).
The thing these guys have going for them, if I cancelled my sub, I would not feel behind the curve if I resubbed 4 months later.

yes and more in the social districts...Ill be the first to admit that I havent followed this game as much as some, but from what I see it looks good. The payment model is unique, the gameplay looks exciting, in game voice chat! is my favorite...

you know I was watching global agenda on xfire live video last night, and as much as I liked it, it was some one trialing the game, so everything seemed exciting, it has nothing to do with apb...I dont know anything about global agenda though, as I havent played it, but Iv watched it played and iv read about it. Similar to tabula rasa, or hellgate london...but those games really are a different genre of mmo then apb..

So we can buy eve for 2 dollars, Age of Conan for 19 dollars? and the list goes on..all these games have zilions of more content, and polish bigger maps all better then APB, and RTM asks for 50 dollars for 3 small maps with cars doing the same thing over and over for 2 hours untill you know the small maps as the palm of your hand?
And still asks for monthly fee or gametime buy?
As i said soon enough price drops and pay method changes.
Then im gonna laugh and maybe gonna play it for the 5 days of gameplay fun i can get from APB...if i can play in party with friends because alone or randoms i get bored even faster...

Thats not an item shop.
Every thing on the marketplace is created, uniquley customized or sold by other players.
Its quite frankly the best "Crafting" system in an MMG.
As far as content, it has every game mode you will find in any other shooter, and more, strung together in missions. The meat of the game is the dynamic PvP and world howevr.
If you are looking for stories and loot, this isnt that game, it never pretended to be.

Sounds like a note taken from Second Life, and will probably make the majority of their income over time.
It's probably best related to player shops ran with bought currency. Wurm has a good thing going for it using the same method.

But i can use my Real life Dollars to get items? If the answer is Yes then it is an item shop. You can deny the way you wont it wont change the fact that it will stay an item shop. As long the real life money is included it becomes a shop and normaly for a game you buy items ...
