FFXIV PC Release Date Confirmed!

Just found out that the global release date for the PC version of FFXIV has been confirmed for Sept 30th 2010! The source of the information is

This is far sooner than I had anticipated, and tbh I wasnt that interested in it thinking that it was going to hit around the same time as other high profile games. However now its just around the corner I think i'm definately going to be pulling this one in!

Aye, They had said that they were releasing the game before the end of this year. They also needed it to go out before cata.

2 months till open beta, hello 20 GB download
Since I was planning on playing this on my PS3, this news SUCKS! I have to wait till March of 2011?! But that's when SWTOR comes out? Dammit! I'm not upgrading my PC just to have an extra 6 months to play the game. Dam this is annoying.
The beta they are talking about in early July, is that an open beta that anybody can play?

I'm downloading the benchmark software as we speak to see how my new laptop will run FFXIV... if it shows all good i'll be buying the collector edition first thing tomorrow morning!
