There's a lot of negativity about warhammer, seemingly a lot from the hardcore gamers and Warhammer lore brigade, but this game is actually good fun for a casual gamer. I've been playing it with my wife for a month or so now, and its a welcome change of pace from other mmorpgs. The teaming is easy and casual, and it's easy to swap between pvp, public quests, and soloing. It's easy to get competitive equipment at lower levels, and death is a mere inconvenience.
The open realm v realm is without a doubt hopelessly flawed, but remains fun. It's not a game I'd want to go too deep into on my own, but for the odd game at the weekend, it is really hitting the button.
In short: casual gamers with an urge for some social play might like this.

By playing casual a lot of flaws are hidden from the gamer.
It isnt until one devotes more time into WAR do they see the games flaws.
Playing: Rift, LotRO
Waiting on: GW2, BP
Agreed. Keep playing just a little longer...
Precisely. And I'm not going to devote that amount of time to it, as a casual player of it. Casually, its fun.
Imagine how much more we would all probably enjoy this entire genre if we only played casually..
Damn my MMO addiction and the fact I have too much free time and insomnia.
I've got mmos I play obsessively, just not this one. Some people do look for a game to play casually you know.
