World of Tanks: Closed Beta Coming July 8

Wargaming.net has announced that its flagship MMO, World of Tanks, is set to hit its closed beta phase of development on July 8, 2010. The closed beta is slated to last for several months and players will have full access to the 70+ unique vehicles.
Over the next few months World of Tanks players worldwide will get access to authentic military vehicles representing German and Soviet sides with a chance to unlock and explore their full upgrade and level-up potential in tense PvP battles. 7 unique maps featuring various types of terrain designed to provide the ultimate action-packed experience will serve as proving grounds for the beta test.

After reading the FAQ's on their website, this game looks to have even LESS depth than Startrek Online.
I realise that technically the game is worthy of the title of being an Online Game, but who in gods name do they think they are kidding? These games are essentially the same as single player games that people have been buying for years that came with an Online Lobby. The difference being that you have to pay a monthly sub. And furthermore, they can hardly call this a MASSIVELY Multiplayer Online Game.

If the Devs could have managed to put infantry combat and elements of say Darkfall and alongside crafting such as Eve Online has.
It would be a goldmine.
No such thing as free you are obviously a neophyte to the f2p misnomer. Expect to spend money if you want to be competitive in this game. I actually feel sorry for anyone spending money on this game.
This game is just another example of the trash that is hitting the genre right now.
So, started downloading the game because I am a history buff. Then, I went and read the FAQ and realized the game sucks and I didn't even have to play it to find out. This game will involve no skill, no competition ("assigned teams" wtf?) and they plan on introducing a massive gamechanger (infantry) later on. Retarded...
all you people do is belly che any way nothing more then low life trolls, what game do you think is so much better? All of them have their strong points and areas where they fall short, though i dont like this game either, doesnt change the fact you are all trolls.
This is not an MMO. They are selling it as an MMO but in fact it is just another "shooter". In fact, there are few if any real objectives to this game other then to just shoot other people's tanks. While there may be some "wow" factor in that for a time, what is there to keep me coming back after a few hours? Unless there is something I am missing....this is a no brainer to let alone. Too bad as I was hoping for something much more and something non-fantasy.

It's an MMO - I mean, it's multi-player, and it's online. "Massive" may be a statement of ego, rather than one of reality, though, as I can't see anybody actually shelling out (ha, ha) money to play this dross.
This game won't last a year.
Every MMO player will be basically playing either WoW Cataclysm or SW: TOR. The rest are just wasting money/resources trying to compete...
It seems there are plenty of people who are doing it. Whining about sub fee and same time spending over 200 bucks per months on F2P game to compete. Hilarios

Agreed, I'm into Free2Play BOI (without passing through ITEMSHOP) untill SW-TOR launches. The server will be so flooded it'll take a week to stabalize it lol.
WW2 online is much bettter. Tanks, planes, truck haulers, AA Ships, infantry of a ranks.
