I think WoW feels like a zerg fest until you get to raiding, compared to other MMORPGs which use the Trinity. That's pretty much what you get when you design an uber solo friendly game.

How could it be anything else?
WoW Zergs now? Since when? I havnt played in a while, but did Blizzard scrap the need foe tanks for endgame?

No, but they made the endgame heroics so easy and they are so heavily outgeared by most groups, that healers spend half their time dpsing, dps don't care about overaggroing. and no one gives a damn about tactics.

I prefer freedom of play with random type of classes, the Trinity makes it far to easy and less tactical as you only need to know your role and the challenge will be very limited.
My favorite thing about EQ was the teamwork that resulted from everyone in a group having a different and important role. The satisfaction of getting through a tough situation created great teamwork that isn't created by an everyone-do-their-own-thing approach, which is like playing basketball where everyone tries to play center. I loved being the healer or the tank in hairy situations where the situation is barely hanging together but you do it anyways--a great feeling of satisfaction for me in good teamwork.
Wow because the topic title isn't biased at all....... No trinity doesn't mean no roles it just means... different types of roles. I mean seriously the specialised roles in high end gw1 pvp require far far, more strategy and tactics than your average holy trinity it's not even funny. It's like the difference between sky and land. You actually have to pre-empt your oponents moves, out think and out maneuver them through team co-ordination and fulfilling your specialised roles. There's also a far greater variety in the roles you can take and thus the tactics implemented.
Calling all games that don't have holy trinity a zerg fest means you don't quite understand the mechanics or you simply sucked at the game.

Edit: Zerg. Why? Easy. Healer/Tank/Dps format is too old and should either die or get more creative weapons.
(I actually prefer both, but I rather see something new for once.)
Edit 2: I think it really depends on the game genre though if I was to pick.
Zerg.
I play videogames with a bunch of bloodthirdty 20 yr old dudes. You think we're actually gonna sit there and tank-dps-heal? xD

I hate zerging, it's so stupid. RPG are supposed to be about tact and strategy. If you want zerg go play GTAIV please ><.
