I will say I retract my statement about Bioware making DAoC as it is not based upon fact. It is true that Bioware hasnt been proven as a MMO developer yet. Idk though I just have a feeling they will do well.
All that said and done, I'd kill for just a relaunch of the original DAoC. :P
Its a shame, we had a genre of games run by enthusiasts. Yes the companies cancelled projects and went belly up, but the heart was there. Now our genre is run by suits and MMO’s are little more than clone wars.
This is not news or new. Myth could do nothing with out EAs ok. EA let go more from Myth ... so Myth was going to sink or just let EA take over. EA is sinking fast as well.

We all know Mythic was/is sinking, *cough -WAR scam- cough* and I agree EA is to (just shady practices, like charging 10$ on used games like BFBC2 to play multiplayer and another 10$ to play content that was already on the game disc) One can only hope that Bioware can dodge these two train wrecks coming at them from both sides, and make a decent game...

And before the DAoC fanboys start screaming, if Mythic was as good as you say, they wouldn't been a sinking ship like they obviously are. THEY have even said it themselves. They would have been able to save DAoC and not make WAR, that has basically flopped. (and sure it hasn't canceled now, but its not a cash cow by ANY standards)
The guys who made DAOC were the same ones who made WAR, no staff left, none came in? I think you will find it was Mythic the name that made DAOC and WAR, but apart from a few of the same people it was not the same team.

Mythic did an absolutely amazing job with DAoC. Thing is, Mythic now is a completely new bunch than the Mythic that made DAoC,
This is correct of course, same as all the people that made Blizzard's best selling NoN MMOs are gone.

anyone who thinks this is a good move for either Mythic or WAR is simply blind.
all EA is doing is putting all their eggs in one basket. and there is no room for WAR in that basket...
