Ack. Thanks.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Signed up!! Thanks
While not much is known about the game if it is anything like Fallout 1 or 2 I can't wait to play it. Just hope it doesn't prove to turn out to be vapourware with too small a team and too much of a challenge and it die before it has a chance to get going.
I really like the Fallout made by Bethesda. I hope that Interplay managed to acquire some permissions to include the features. The look of the screenshots seems to indicate they did. 1 & 2 were good, but they would be horrific to play as an MMO with today's machines.
I bought the Fallout Collection after playing through 3 but I can't get into the combat and I don't know how to install the mods since I have they shipped me the UK version and when I tried it they didn't work.

I really hate games with isometric viewpoints, I hope they don't use it on here. Makes me feel so detached from the game.
If it's as hardcore as no mutants allowed i'll be up for it
I'm happy Interplay managed to get this far. They made Fallout, a game thats etched into memory of all gamers who were around at that time...
Fallout 3... Didn't really.
The last of the Trackers
Yeah...that's why Fallout 3 has a better Metacritic score than any of the previous Fallouts.
And "Interplay" didn't make shit, Black Isle did. Black Isle is now known as Obsidian Entertainment and are the ones making Fallout: New Vegas.

The only thing I didn't like about Fallout 3 was the terrible strafe-running. Other than that I thought it was fantastic; I hope this iteration from Interplay lives up to the new standard set by Bethesda.
Fallout 3 was nothing more than oblivion with guns, srsly. Story was weak. And the world wasnt that engaging. Perks were all almost useless.
About fallout online, idk with all these new mmo that could have been gold (but flopped). I have low expectation for it.
Metacritic score lol ! Maybe because there wasnt any metacritic score when Fallout 1 and 2 were the best games of the years. Oh and sorry but back when i was plyaing those games, there were way less PC gamer than there is now. And i'll add that any game that come out and got good graphics, good gameplay, and a big company behind that can advertise a lot, its gonna get a good metathing scores.
So... its not because Fallout 1 and 2 look boring and cheaps game with poor graphics because all you've ever played was games after 2000, thats they dont have a great metathing.
I had so much fun playing Doom 1 after playing Wolf3D back in the time, graphics were revolutionary ! lol
Fallout 1 & 2 will always hold a place in my heart and hope the MMO will take from both of them.Fallout 3 not so much.
P.S When Doom 2 came out i nearly Shat myself.(graphics)
The following statement is false
The previous statement is true
Dont know why anyones even bothering following this, Interplay sucks, and all they did was drive fallout straight into the ground.
Apparently stating the truth in my sig is "trolling"
Sig typo fixed thanks to an observant stragen001.
Even though liked Fallout 3, am taking a wait and see attitude when I heard they were having a Fallout MMO. Not sure how it will work out. I did hear they had a recent court battle to allow a Fallout MMO to be created, but as with all court battles do not be suprised if there is a Appeal filed and Fallout MMO is put on hold.
I hated fallout 3. The great thing was the website it asked what was your favorite. Fallout, Fallout-2, or Fallout tacticts.
Fallout 3 was not listed, hardy har har.
I picked Fallout 2 of course.
Fallout 1 was the best IMO, probably because it was the original, followed very closely by 2. 3 was 'ok'. Bethesda didn't do a 'bad' job but they didn't quite capture the full 'feel' of the originals.
Now, if they were to make an MMO with the mechanics/graphics of 3, and the true atmosphere/feel of 1 and 2, then we might have a hit
One can only hope...
~edit for typo~
I hope this is amazing! I love the Fallout series.
I was playing PC games long before FO1 even came out, long before Doom, long before Wolfenstein, blah, blah, blah, so trying to say I've only played games after 2000 is kind of a stupid assumption on your part. Then again, I've got close to ten years seniority on you ( if your posted age is correct and you're not in fact even younger ), so it's more than likely I was playing PC games long before you.
The games were great FOR THEIR TIME, but show their age greatly now in all aspects, including story.

You're right. Because those games actually HAD a story. Since games gone 3D a good story didn't seem to matter anymore.
Instead you got a gamebox full of delayed releases, bugs, patches, lack of quality, lack of imagination ...but hey it's 3D (even if the engine is outdated thanks to release delays).
Regarding Fallout 3... nice graphics, sure... but the story is lame. Even the jokes can't keep up with the original fallout.
On the second look it's just a fake in 3D.
I hate WoW and what it has done to the MMO genre.
Eh, I'll bite, troll.
Some of us remember the glory days of Interplay back when every other game they released was a megahit and brought new ideas of what could be done with a game on a computer. Those same people would like to see Interplay return to that glory. However, I'm one that realizes that one of the key drivers to the machine that was Interplay is no longer with the company for whatever reason. Can they return? Maybe, but I think it'll be like Apple trying to go somewhere without Steve Jobs. (Anyone remember how successful Apple was after Jobs got canned?)
