Hi this may sound stupid but has Square released any info if the credit cards accepted needs to be those who are part of the verified by visa or 3d secure(mastercard) programs. Also I am from the Philippines and was wondering if the US address requirement of the FFXI will still be present for FFXIV since I am pre-ordering the CE edition of FFXIV from PlayAsia.com since I really want to play this and I have cancelled my WoW and WAR accounts so as to save money for FFXIV

I don't know the answers to either but I really hope 1) Nobody needs to start a new credit card account to play this and 2) There arn't any regional restrictions, one of the best parts of ff11 was that there were always people to play with anytime of the day you wanted to play whether they be french, japanese, american, or even sandorian.

Yeah, that's why I'm searching the net looking for info if the game is region locked like FFXI which I was not able to play which made me buy WoW instead, hoping that I could play FFXIV and gonna pre-order the CE from playasia.com.

Even though FFXI was region locked you should have still been able to play.

I live in Australia and played FFXI from NA release, I had to order the US version over the net but I had no problems once it arrived. I also had to make sure I ordered the US versions of the expansions aswell.

My housemate at the time bought his copy from a shop, was about 2 years or so after I started playing so was finally release here, which ended up being the EU version, he also didn't have any problems playing.

I was trying to buy it over steam since they offered the complete version but it always shows that the "item" is not available for my region. when I tried to look for a physical copy over at our local game shops they no longer carried the title that's why I was not able to play it.

I did see a page somewhere , some enterprising person collated EVERY piece of info on FFXIV into one place.

They confirmed that the servers would be multi region adn that an auto translate programme would be in the game.

i already have my limited CE on order, well worth the money and if the pricing is to be believed (£8.99pm) the cheapest MMO on the market for me
