Howdy, Stranger!

It looks like you're new here. If you want to get involved, click one of these buttons!

The previews give this game a very generic feel ...

The hype for this game is at snails pace, bioware hasnt been able to release any information to get anyone even remotely excited about this game. I sense a mythic type flop ala with warhammer.

Theres no excitement over KEY MMORPG GAMEPLAY ELEMENTS :

"innovative gameplay", "exciting combat mechanics", "challenging content", "engaging world", and "good multiplayer aspects"

I dont see ow Bioware can expect people to pay a monthly fee for a bastardised single player game. People dont accept mediocore products this day and age. If there is no innovation, the game will not be a hit with the mainstream, this game will flop and be just played by the hardcore star wars fans. I mean considering the budget of this title, the company will go broke.

I mean look at a highly anticipated title like Guild Wars 2, the hype and innovative features are through the roof. And guess what theres NO MONTHLY FEE !

All i can say is GOOD LUCK BIOWARE image

    Fail design is fail.

Nothing can save this game at this point.

It will sell a lot of boxes (like every good SPRPG does) but as a MMORPG will fail miserably.

So what you're saying is that the game sounds totally generic, I agree.  That the only thing it has going for it is a popular and well-respected developer, a popular ip, a large budget and marketing?   I agree completely.

Of course that's all that WoW had too.  That's all that EQ2 had.  That's all that LoTRO had.  Those three games were all successful.   I won't argue that they are great games, but commercially, they're all successful.  I don't think BioWare is out to make a "mind-shattering work of art".    They've said from the start that they're following WoW's success model and they've stuck to it.  I've no doubt it'll be a commercial success.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guild Wars2 has minigames!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.  Guild Wars1 doesn't have a sub fee and couldn't beat out WOW so what exactly is your point? I own and played Guild Wars and couldn't care less about Guild Wars2 and I doubt I'm the only one who feels this way, I'm not arguing if one game is going to be better than the other either what I'm saying is they have generally released not much info GW2 info get's you hyped up (which it doesn't for me) and TOR does nothing for you (and it hypes me up).  I guess I'm just saying this is your OPINION.

but yeah, to call this game Fantastic is like calling Twilight the Godfather of vampire movies....

This game will FAIL because I WILL NOT BUY IT!!!!  I only buy games that WIN!!!!!1!!

If you buy this game you are FAIL!  It is the same MMORPG as every other except it is Single Player MMORPG!

Do NOT BUY THIS GAME because I said so!  I am the undefined ruler of all games that is the ONLY OPINION that matters!

WOW WIll rulle because it is the original game that every other game copies and therefore they are FAIL!!  The only thing that can beat WOW is WOW2 the IMORTALZ1!1!!!

    hehe, that was fun!  :D

Say hello, To the things you've left behind. They are more a part of your life now that you can't touch them.

I agree completely.  WoW has a very similar generic playability, and style.  Its never tried to redifine the MMO genre and yet ...  it DOES define success in that market.   Bioware has had years of success with the KoTOR IP, and has a loyal fanbase to a great RPG series. This MMO title is going to be a blockbuster, its going to have a ton of loyal fans of KoTOR and Star Wars jump on board and will likely have a fairly regular sales rate for years to come (as generations of gamers and star wars fans go in and out of their MMO phases).  It may not see the massive success that WoW has seen, but it is going to be a successful MMO make no mistake.  It may in fact be the most successful new MMO we've seen to hit the market since FFXI came out, maybe since WoW.
