not know what to as i spent a whole 30min playing the first game and RL hit me like a truck and never got to go any futher and have absolutly no idea what im doing or where im going....
I reckon I will probably spend a long while on character gen...then just do random stuff in Eorzea for an hour or two...probably will be emotional moments for many.
First thing I really want to do is make some friends in the game. I made the best MMO friends in FFXI and hope to do the same in this game. Then I'll start exploring the world ^^
1. After spending several hours making my toon ...
2. Log in and collect as many quests as the quest log will allow so that I'm weighed down and can barely walk.
3. Then do all the basic "getting to know you " ones out of the way in town while trying to memorize where every shop, side street, and small vendor is and what they sell (along with their names for later on)
4. After stocking up on as much pots as my tiny starting allowance will permit, will head off into the first area and kill whatever I'm supposed to hopefully, with many of you as company, while holding onto every crafting mat as pixelly possible.
im probably going to start fighting mobs without conning anything! lets see what kills me first!
Tanaka:Oh! There are indeed two different versions that offer very useful objects for the beginning of the game, but they are more aesthetic objects than anything else. We did not want to create too large of a disparity between those who had a particular item and those who did not. We have therefore imposed certain limits on their usefulness, making sure you do not make them indispensable. Take the example of Onion Helmet, for those who ordered the collector version. It is a hat that can reduce the penalty on the dead because players tend to die easily at the beginning of the game. Regarding the glasses they allow players to more easily catch those who have started one week in advance: it is faster for them to develop their talents.
I'll do the same thing I always do for MMO launches. Figure out how to make an extreme amount of in-game money and then exploit it until I have enough money to never farm again.
Yet it amazes me that no one has noted the most important thing of all !
As soon as I am done creating my character, and that new amazing world opens it's arms to me, I'll make sure I yell, in every channel for all to see, about how WoW makes everything better than this piece of junk ! Because, if I don't do it, somebody else will, right ? Might as well be the first at at least one thing in the game, lol.
My views are mine and mine alone, but because I share them doesn't mean I agree with them or even understand what the heck I just said...

Or on equal grounds of annoying ( i lik this > wowz lul) over and over. )
And we think humans are the most highly evolved life forms on earth. Trees can't be retarded on the internet and they make their own food.
I kill other players because they're smarter than AI, sometimes.
I'll start off by killing tons and tons of small bees and rabbits. Then after about 8,000 of those I should be level 14. At that point I'll work my way up to much harder and dangerous pray... crabs. I'll kill those for the next 40 levels or so.
Then I'll switch classes and do it all over again.

Lmao. Don't forget about the pink birds.
What's wrong with pink birds? You got a problem with Flamingos, too?
i also tend to run as far as i can away from town as a lvl 1 just so i can see the new world and mobs. maybe ill make it to the new jueno and be the first in a line of mules trying to make it there. maybe we can do a "farthest lvl 1" race at launch... nahh.
I will spend 30mins on the chraracter creation because I'm an insane perfectionist, then start questing/lvling. If I recall what i did when I first got FFXI (at launch) I'll be looking for quests all over the place because FF has grinded into my brain that there are a TON of quests and mini-games in the "starting" city. And I'll probably need the gil from the quests to buy the O kote equivilant.

Complain about being level 1.. Then hopefully be shocked that the progress isn't as slow as XIs.

You'll regret that when he comes back with a grudge and one-shots you later on. :P

That is a very good suggestion... might do that myself actually.
