i believe ppl from all around the world will be mixed into a different server similar to FFXI, that is why they also implemented the auto translation right?
so is there any difference pre ordering from different region? Because i live in SE Asia, nearest is Japan, but i dont understand japanese. shipment will reach me earlier too.
If i were to order from gamestop, it will take extra 3 days to reach me, kinda beats the purpose of ordering the collector edition isnt it?

another question, by any chance anyone knows if gamestop will email you the CDKEY and DL link prior to release? i dont want to miss that 3 days waiting for shipments =(

You mean pre-order right? well there's an exclusive item for it, pre-order and CE.
You have to register the game to the same region it's linked to.
So if you buy NA version, you need to register it to NA SE website.
I live in EU and when XI came out I imported the NA version... I lied about my personal info but as long as the CC info was correct they didn't seem to care, lol.
Now that POL is no longer used I dunno if it works anymore, so I might not risk it just yet.
However, getting the NA version if possible would be the wisest move. You'll end up paying the least subscription fees that way.
Also, I dunno but I think the JP version would be translated to JP and it's unknown if you can change it... just an assumption tho!
yea thats what im worried too, it will be total rubbish if everything translate to japs.
so can anyone confirm the difference between the different regions?
and also, does gamestop gives you cdkey/dl link before they ship it to you?

I ask that question myself, i from Asean also, would like to get this game, i want to get CE but if it delay 3 days, no point for me to get it.
Anyhow, thanks to Hyanmen who explain detail for this game, let me have the interest to try it out.
I somehow allways asumed the game would have US/Euopean(english)/localised Asian servers.
I just hope there will be native english servers, with a low <100ms from europe.

No. Everyone plays on the same servers.
Ping is not important.
The past few games that I have order have been through Amazon. If the game has early access, like FF XIV and their 8 day early access for pre-orders, then Amazon gives you a code that goes into your online Media Library collection on their site. You can always login and go to that section to see your code. I just logged in and saw my early access codes for Warhammer. I ordered the CE from them for Warhammer.
Since the game has early access you will most likely get a download link for the game ahead of time.
I'm guessing Gamestop will do the same thing. You would need to check with them though. I think they email you the early access code.
on the beta you can shift language from english, german, french and assume that the last is japanese, not sure I d risk it still tho if were you p

Oh no no, there'll be many servers. Not like GW.
It's like any other MMO, but not region specific.
I'm from SE also specifically the Phlippines, I'm planning on ordering the CE from play-asia.com since its the local equivalent of Amazon but pre-orders for CE is still not open though.
