I don't like doing a Beta for a game I REALLY wanna play...it kind of wrecks it for me. That, and i don't wanna level up a toon, to have it erased at launch and be forced to start over.
I don't want to touch it until its completely ready to go.

I actually say you should give it to me. Cause you think I am awesome, and you know you are awesome so why do i have to tell you that. And I will love you back, not romantically or anytthing, but technologically!

I decided to stay out of this one. It is summer and really great weather, I rather beta tests when it is cold and rainy. I still plan to gve the game a go of course but not until autumn.

Well, first thing I would do if I were you is to run memcheck 86. Not impossible that it is a hardware problem, in that case a memory that doesn't quite work. Does it sometimes bluescreen when you play certain games too?
If that doesn't work you should upgrade to windows 7, it is a lot better than crappy Vista.
I got into the beta, but with the release so close i'm not even going to bother.
I've found that when I play the beta of games it tends to take away something for me. (I've also never ended up playing a game I beta tested for some reason)

My earlier statement is now applied to you as well

I like writing bug reports and actually trying to help make the game better by release. Why sign up for beta then not use it? Wish mythic actually listened to me before they released warhammer betaing it for a year :
(I'm installing service pack 2 atm on my computer.. typing on my brother's .. sof ar so good..)
Yeah me too. It is somewhat frustrating when devs don't fix the issues you report and just release the game however (AoC to mention one).
But as I said before, not in the summer. We Swedes have crappy weather 8 months a year so Im not spending that many hours in front of the computer when it's tropical heat outside.

I would of used the invitation if the release wasn't only 2ish months away... if we had not been given a release date or it was like December I wouldn't of waited lol

This is one of the reasons that I stopped doing betas. Things would be going along, everybody would give their feedback, the company would say thank you, the time would pass between the end of beta and release - then there, upon release, the game would be even worse than it had been previously. Perhaps these past few years they've misread the intent of what we've been saying, eh?
I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?

I look at it like this... if it happens, it happens, if not just wasn't meant to be =/

Thing is I have time right now... in september I may not :
I've said I'm sad many times before because of this. Someone start a support group for me.

which operating system? vista/windows 7 or? and why do you need service pack 2 in order to play? 0_O
vista, the FF installer wont let me install it without SP2. No idea why. It just wont. It tells me to install SP2 and try again.
well I got vista and service pack 1 still.. guess I could try to upgrade and see what happens..
I'd be happy to take your account off of your hands until you're able to play
Did i mention my undying love would be yours?
I got accepted into the alpha last month. And yeah you need service pack 2 in Vista to play.
if your using 64 bit, do you download service pack x64 or x86 whats the x86 for? My program files folder is x86..

downloading and isntalling this http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/confirmation.aspx?familyId=8ad69826-03d4-488c-8f26-074800c55bc3&displayLang=en not sure if its the right one. Hopefully I don't get a bluescreen but If I do I guess you'll at least know your not alone.
