Left 4 Dead + Predators = Yes?

So I just saw Predators, and then I read a bit on the recent Left 4 Dead 2 thread posted here. A thought then hit me, what if we  combined the two into a single game? I'm not talking zombies and Predators stomping around against Humans, I'm talking about taking the core of Left 4 Dead multiplayer, zombies versus Humans, and changing it to Humans versus Predators. We'd do something like the film did though, there would be nine or more Humans, being hunted by two to five Predators. The goal of the Predators would be to hunt and take their trophies from the Humans, and the Humans goal would be to either survive or kill the Predators hunting them.

Where the game would turn away from L4D is that everyone had one life, including the Predators. It also wouldn't be like L4D where the Humans are just as invincible as the creatures stalking them. They outnumber the Predators for a reason, because they aren't as tough. The Predator would be a tough enough character that even a newbie using a Predator would be able to dispatch a rather seasoned Human player with ease(so seeing a Human player and a Predator player throw down and the Human winning without any help would be outright amazing). The game would feature wide open maps with multiple ways to escape from or kill the Predators. The Predators would not have friendly fire on, as they're a group of hunters working together, the Humans would. In fact, the Humans wouldn't all spawn together, they'd spawn apart, and could all group up, or just stick it out solo and try to survive, heck, they could even turn on each other.

I'm far to tired to go in to detail, but this is an idea I want to flesh out, so I will probably return with more information later.

I'm free on Friday.

already a game mode similar to this in AvP, however it's 1 pred vs 3-11 marines,  and the objective is to get the most kills as the predator, with the marine who kills the pred respawning immediatly as the pred.

Also multi-predators working together doesnt make sense, the hunt is their right of initiation, at least in the older movies, which they either complete with their own strength, or die.  also, the new movie was a joke imo.

I really feel that's just a disgusied version of Juggernaut, and that's not what I'm aiming for.

I was also about to ask you why you felt the movie was a joke, but honestly, you're probably ready to throw a ton of nitpicking in my face so forget about it.

I'll keep it short then,  it did not have the same feel as the old pred movies, and there were alot of inconsistences within the movie that imo were there to either make the movie more flashy, or the writers had trouble connecting plot points with action sequences and took the lazy way out.

Also it is juggernaut in disguise,in the most basic sense,  but since controls, strengths, weaknesses are all different between species, it's completely different than halo jugg. (and by controls I mean the way the species handle not so much buttons, although, those are different where appropriate.)

To each his own, I thought the movie was as good, if not better, than the first movie. You have to admit though, compared to AVP and AVP:R this movie is gold, at least the characters in this movie aren't complete cannon fodder for the Predators.

Also, that may be so, but I was looking for something with more depth. No respawn, tough-ass Predators, multiple ways to win besides killing(unless you're a Predator), and the added fact that people may not work together. It's be about more than just getting the most kills as a single Predator.

Pred 3 was better than both AVPS, although AVP had a nice story to tie aleins and preds together.  AvPR was terrible.

Now i see what you want and I can't say I wouldn't enjoy it but I also see problems.  One is evn though in the AVP game preds and marines are balanced pretty evenly, a fully stocked pred(plasma caster, frisby, spear, mines) is still extremely tough even with equivalent hp to marines and less health regaining options.  Also the no respawn, IMO is only fun in short duration matches, no so much in a survival game.  Too many people will not want to play the game simply from dieing in the begining and not wanting to play because of having to watch the game more than play, or having to search for game lobbies more than play.(the feeling to not want to play would only be compounded if FF was on and someone died to a teammate)  The AVP jugg style pred hunt still gives a great pred hunt/marine survival expierence while staying fun for everyone(unless someone is terrible as a marine/pred) the entire match length.  However AVP isnt a perfect game though.  As a marine I dislkie only being able to ADS with a sniper(rest of the guns fire with crossair), and the preds crappy jump-point coding is very annoying.
