I was cyberschooled from 10th to 12th grades. Since this was a work at my own pace sort of thing, I did precisely that. I did all the work that I needed to have done for the week on Monday, then played World of Warcraft for the next 4 school days. I was happy, I could sleep in, and play the system to barely need to attend school.

    Now with 57.3% more flames!

I believe I was playing Star Wars Galaxies...miserable the entire time except my awesome guild.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

At 14 I was playing UO at a friends house during the summer, then convinced my parents to buy me the CE and pay for the subscription. Problem was that we used dial-up, which basically made it impossible to play (even back then), so I begged them to upgrade to cable.

They were pretty much pissed that they had to buy the game, pay for internet AND a seperate subscription for the game itself... and now I wanted them to throw in an extra 30$ monthly for the the cable internet. No go, no UO.

I had a very short run with that game.

Writer / Musician / Game Designer

Now Playing: Skyrim, Wurm Online, Tropico 4
Waiting On: GW2, TSW, Archeage, The Rapture

When I was 14, calculaters just came out. My brother got one, it was big and bulky, It has add, subtract, multiply and devide, with memory + and -. No batteries you had to plug it in.

    We also had :

Electric football, you know the one where you turn it on, it vibrates to no end, and all the guys buzz to the side lines.

Electric trains, I used to put a tack on the track, and watch the head car de- rail.  Every day you didn't get electrocuted was a good day.   Even if you did, your mother would just yell at you, and you didn't sue any one !

    The game of Operation,

And I had a lamp in my room, that worked on 110 AC.

Lamps still work on 110V AC, I ran a plug for one just the other day.

No required quests! And if I decide I want to be an assassin-cartographer-dancer-pastry chef who lives only to stalk and kill interior decorators, then that's who I want to be, even if it takes me four years to max all the skills and everyone else thinks I'm freaking nuts. -Madimorga-

Thats about the time I was playing The Realm Online. Then came EQ for a few years, Asherons call for 2 years. AO for 3 years. So on so forth. I basically played all the big ones. Hehe, I can still remember the sheer frustration of AO and the total love for what it became and then left .. well I cant remember why hahaha. Sigh, so many games. So long. Gah cant believe I just turned 30.

Was 14 or 15 that I was playing Horizons every day during the summer although I don't remember playing it while school was going on.  Played the game for a good two years before moving on to Lineage 2 with some friends from scholl and then EQ2 with my dad and then to RF with friends from school.

But first time starting MMOs was when I was addicted.  RF held me for a while as well but you had to afk macro in the game to max out buffs/debuffs so it wasn't so much playing.

And never skipped school for MMOs; just the homework ;)

Make games you want to play.

Oh wow. When I was in 7th grade, I was waking up hours before school started each day to get some early morning Runescaping in. Mind you this was back in the day when, to mine, you had to click open your inventory, click the pickaxe, then right click the rock, and then select "Mine with Pickaxe". Each time. And you only got ore ever 4 or 5 swings. I remember I'd keep myself motivated by crunching numbers in Windows Calculator. Golly gee! In 73 more mining runs I'll have level 55 mining!

My parents would kick my ass if they'd known I was doing that, so I couldn't sit in the noisy computer chair we had. I'd squat on the ground and this kneeling position while I navigated the Runescape world at 4am.

Glad I had priorities in 7th grade.
