I haven't read anything about duall wielding.... (except maybe for the pugilist wielding 2 fist weapons) but i couldn't find any class that could wield 2 swords...
I hope there will be a class to preform this act of swordfighting...

It took XI a little while to add in Ninja which brought dual wielding into the game. It was a really nice touch. Apparently there is a long list of classes that have yet to be released. I haven't seen it, but it's possible that a dual wielding class would be on that list.
I would be surprised if SE didn't build a class around dual wielding to be honest. It might not make it in at release though. FFXI saw a total of 14 jobs added post-release and the current word is that the first few updates after launch are going to see additional classes added to XIV.
Well we all know they have like allready 30 disciplines planned (which is not the same as implemented) and i am sure there will be a duall wielding assasin/ninja type class..
But also dualwielding swords might be out of the question as equiping a sword would make me a Gladiator... and there is no word yet about dual wielding gladiators. So does that mean no dualwielding swords?

"Dual Wielding" is most likely a trait, meaning it's not locked to one class or weapon type. If you can hold the weapon with only one hand, you should be able to use the Dual Wield trait just as well as the native class.
But Gladiators usually wield "normal" swords. That leaves room for fencing swords and curved blades, which could be a new class altogether. Just like the mages share some similarities with their weapons (both can use staves, but Conjurer's staves are made of wood while Thaumaturge's staves are made from some other element).
Thats another feauture i haven;t read about yet ....
You just wet my appetite for more knowledge

Theres just so many interesting aspects to this game, I am loving that they are trying to do their own thing with most features.
Since the armoury sytem indeed depends on the weapon to determine your class, I can see two directions they would or could take this trait.
When seen as a class specific trait, dual wielding would be bound and limited to certain types of weapons (daggers, pistols,...) in some combinations. There are indeed strong rumours of an Assassin class (dual wielding daggers?).
When seen as a general trait, this will likely have an impact on your off-hand, while the weapon you carry in your main hand still determines your class.
"No, I'm not impersonating a tree. I'm a dual wielding Conjurer, godammit !"
You can actually dual wield weapons already.
Or rather, put a weapon in your off-hand. It's not an effective way of "dual wielding" though, I think for that we need to wait for new classes.
You know that was actually the first thing that popped into my head when I thought of dual wielding as well... :P
