Official gamepad support?

I know this may seem like a stupid question, I was just curious if FFXIV was going to have official gamepad support like FFXI had. I'm tired of playing MMOs with a keyboard, mouse and smashing hotkeys. I know there's Xpadder but you don't get the full analogue control like you do with proper gamepad support.
Also, if gamepads are indeed supported, do they already have profiles set up for certain controllers? (E.g. Xbox 360 controller for windows) or do you need to set them up yourself?

Oh how I wish I was in beta...
Makes me wonder if there is also six-axis support and if there are six axis gamepads for PC.

I'm afraid not, getting a PS3 controller, sixaxis or dualshock to work on a PC is a long, arduous process involving unofficial drivers that don't even work properly a lot of the time. I'm 99.9% sure there won't be any sixaxis support for this game
Are you referring to the motionjoy drivers? I use those and they have been working fine so far, even with bluetooth. Vibration work, not sure about in game but it works when tested via motionjoy panel. Only gripe I have with those drivers is that they are unsigned and I have to press F8 before windows boot and choose "load unsigned drivers" each and every time I want to use my PS3 controller.
Yeah, those are the ones, they never worked properly for me, some days they'd work, other days they wouldn't, and sometimes when it was working, some games (such as melty blood) wouldn't recognise inputs from certain buttons so I just gave up and grabbed a wireless 360 controller for windows, which also lets me use the other 3 360 controllers I have lying around to use on my PC.
Either way, whether it works or not, the drivers are unsigned, and as such the PS3 controller will never be officially supported for FFXIV, unless Sony releases something to do it, which I sincerely doubt if they haven't after all this time.
Of course you'd be able to use it on FFXIV, what I mean is, if they include profiles or something, the DS3 and Sixaxis won't be one of them. You'd have to configure your own
