Btw: I noticed that the test client patched today. Could be for the upcoming ComicCon or maybe a new round of testing coming soon....who knows.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
The game looks good and I can see where the directional combat would be a nice challenge. However having directional healing doesn't sound like a great thing. If all of your party is moving around to avoid damage the only way to ensure they get a heal would be to have them stand still. Just not sure how well that would lend to game play.

I would imagine that it would lend some challenge to the class instead of just hitting a button and expecting it to happen.
It would probably be akin to the sorcerer hitting their target with a damage spell. The healer has to hit their target, they have to time things correctly.
Other than that I think the game is shaping up quite nicely.

It just makes a person really have to learn how to play their class. I am sure good healers will be well know in the game just as bad healers will be also.

i think tank and dps can help by moving toward the heal if it was slightly off
which is change from standing still and spamming "HEAL ME!! HEAL!!
Yep, players will have to move into the area of effect if they want to get healed by the AOE.

The combat is decent (One sided combat still as you can't exchange blows but isn't just button mashing).
Overall, the game looks just like all current MMOs in terms of static world, I dislike the current MMOs by the way. On the bright side, the combat looks like fun.

I don't think the challenge would be bad I'm just thinking it would be a risk for game. You would have to have some serious group cohesion and unless you grouped with the same people every day I could see lots of dead people in short order. Anyway we won't know the game play till it's release but I'm speculating from the producers comments that the healer will be the toughest class to play in the game. That will likely make that class also the hardest one to find in the game and finding a competent one may be even more difficult.

I think for my taste, that's what makes it intriguing. Of course, I sort of feel sorry for pug healers because I can already imagine people yelling "why didn't you heal me".
Since I rarely do pug's it won't be an issue for me.
I just really hope... REALLY hope, that the game is an actual open world like Lineage 2.

Healers for the most part are pertty dedicated when it comes to there class. I don't see that changing much even if it is a little more of a challenge.

But please take a closer look what the fighter is doing on time code 1:20.
Its looks like he’s acting for a shampoo commercial. I really hope this game does not have its male characters doing that kind of anime-styled bitch-moves all the time, that aion and many other eastern mmos have. That is a small element that can really spoil a game for me.
While the game looks overall nice, at least combat wise, there just those small little art style details that really bother me (yes i get bothered because of puny things) like those huge swords and axes i , personally, think are ridiculous. But that's me .
If the crafting is good enough i might give it a shot but atm the combat system isn't worth the annoying art style (to my humble opinion)

Well I voted 'I just don't know yet'. Although the game sounds interesting, The gaphics look amazing and I was a huge Lineage II player for over 3 years I have just seen too many crappy MMOs come out in the last few years to like a game from a video. I will have to play the game to make that call. I am looking forward to trying this game but I reserve my judgement until that day comes. The game seems to be coming along nicely and I love the art style. I'm not in any way saying it will be a bad game but I'm not ready to say it's good yet either... 'Undecided'.
I like the video, the combat and the non-targeting gameplay sure are good.
But in the video i got 1 bad point: why do mobs just stand getting hit by the players most of the time. For exception of the crab mob, the other ones just kept looking to the players most of the time and did few attacks. They even did 2-3 times the pose "i'll kill you" while pointing to nowhere and getting hit, and guard their weapons other times too. Some corrections to be made in the mobs AI.
Lancer: Plate armor with lance & shield, able to mitigate damage. low dps
Warrior: Evasion tank with leather armor & duel swords. able to dodge & stun. low dps.
customization is still being added so don't know much about it.

Only time and more leaks on game play will tell on the world as a whole.
I could almost see a good healer auctioning off their abilities in the game.

this is one of the few games i have my eye on right now
In before the hackers reign another Korean MMO.
I just can't get past the fruity art style in all these Asian MMOGs. Yuck.

Question
This game has Tank classes right? or is it Zerg Fest PvE?
How do players customize their character?

Two tank types.

Warrior: Evasion tank with leather armor & duel swords. able to dodge & stun. low dps.
customization is still being added so don't know much about it.
