Personally, I think it might be embarassing to run around with nothing but a g-string and two bra sizes to small, with a 2h sword. But ....
We need to compensate instead of bringing down the community for liking female characters running around with Mithril G-string armor and metal clad A cup bras made of Mithril when our boobs are DDs, we need to make armor like this.
The Shirtless look for dudes hasn't been invented in MMOs without suffering from stat lose or not having any armor on. I purpose an option to turn off the chest of male characters, so it will reveal the chestol area. Or create armor that reveals the males six pack but has trips of clothing.
Example:
Robe or Trench Coat with no under shirt
Trip of lingering clothing that is haning off like it has been torn and worn out
A no shirt look with a leather strip across the chest.
And ..... everything will be equal.
Males and Females can live together in armory knowing that there armor is not practical, but it gets da ladies .... or guys ..... w/e your taste ........
But i would argue that the males are already "sexified" just as much as the females when they are completely covered in armor. How many males look like budy builders and are able to do the stuff they generally are able to do in games completely covered with probably half a ton of steel? Not to mention the weapons.
Just because they aren't showing skin doesn't mean they aren't "sexified".

The Large Developer games (SOE, Blizzard, etc.) always seemed to have overclothed the females in my opinion. Even the M-rated AoC only had a few classes that dressed skimpy, but the heavy armor classes were covered up. Same for the guys.
Its those cheesy Eastern Dev's games that got it all screwed up, don't blame MMOs, blame them.
I know I posted previously, but I wanted to add that, although I am female, I play some male characters, and I'm not ashamed that I like a little eye-candy in my male characters too. I've noticed that it seems like a lot of (*ahem* Western, subscription) games have given a lot less thought to the male models than to the female. I've played some really good (burly) looking males in some games, though. I am in favor of a choice for men too.
I think I like my female character's armor in Fallen Earth. She's actually dressed, and she looks badass, as opposed to looking like a hooker with her ass hanging out.
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.

Hookers can be badass too sometimes. You know, dominatrix :P
Entertainment purpose games are going to adhere to the 'sex sells' guidelines regardless. But just once I wouldn't mind trying a game that was more true to the 'less armor less protection' theory.
I.E you want your female avatar to run around half naked so you can watch her jiggle thats your choice, but you should suffer due to lack of armor in hitboxes.
I don't see any female cops running around only wearing kevlar bras and panties, do you?
But there should be some restrictions for certain games, like a lot of the mmo's geared towards the under 18 crowd seem to have some pretty risque clothing options..
I stumbled across this thread because lately I've been seeing ads for mmo and their only selling point they state is this game has 18+ plugins while they are showing some sexy pixel female wearing a skimpy robe type thing. I might just be old or something but unrealistic armor on females actually bothers me in games has caused me stop playing them sometimes.
I'm a male btw and no I'm not gay.
Yes I know this is an old thread however it has a good point

Those dudes...specially the one in the white...look like they should be dancing in the Blue Oyster Bar.
Those look so bad. The skin looks like it's made of....pancakes or something.

I don't think it really matters anymore.
