Darkfall: Bringing in New Sandbox Features

Community Liason Resfelm has started a new thread on the official Darkfall Online forums about two new 'sandbox' features to be implemented into the game later this summer: The Fun Hulk and Use Flags.
Fun Hulks are a one-person 'vehicle' that is crafted. The crafting is simplified in that it doesn't require a foundry or an orb of might/dominion. These Fun Hulks can only damage other Fun Hulks but can be damaged by anything so it's probably not a good idea to take them out adventuring. However, Resfelm mentions that player-created events might be fun to run such as a 'last hulk standing' or races of some type.
Use Flags are also created by players and are used in treasure hunts or 'search and destroy the flag' type events.
We’re always working on new sandbox features to add to the game. Still, in a sandbox game, the players are the driving force of many of the most fun, coolest, funniest, most epic and most interesting events. With that in mind, we’re increasing our efforts to help players organize, promote, and support their own event. Quite a few players have already organized their own fun events, and inspired by their efforts, we’re working on making more complex player-run events possible. More details on ways we’re going about doing that will become available in the near future.

Not that i really care, dont play DFO, but wanna try it out sometime and i dont want stupid shit like this in the game

Ive been laughing myself alot to this. Doesnt that look like one of those "Wood Horses" so kids can play on them, they go back and forth. FUN HULK. AV you rule, toys for kids like the community is.

Sandbox stuff to me are things like Tailoring and colored dyes for clothing and personal housing (decorations and stuff) or some other type of crafting that would be used for something other than pure pvp.

It's sad that they (aventurine) decided to do a spotlight on 'this' instead of something actually important, like I don't know-maybe armor sets and character models? :S

These are sandbox features? These tools don't even move the sand. If this was something players could do using other tools Adventurtine had given them then sure...
Stop thinking full loot pvp and no levels makes a sandbox. This is a circus, not a sandbox. Thank you to the clowns running Darkfall ruining peoples' opinion of what a sandbox is.

lol instead of fixing and finishing what the game needs they wanna release something else and leave a broken game like ..the same..
Change animations asap..i mean ASAP= as fast as possible, change UI, change graphics..all of them ...specialy the chars, put a better housing system..not that hard..the one now sucks, costumization, skill cap or decay, more content, more sand more sand.
And still no customizable titles, useable chairs/tables or anything to do besides PvP... instead it is slot machines, bumper carts and easter flags. What is the matter with these people? None of this allows you to 'live' in the world. Sweet lord.

Yes, because this in the ONLY thing that they're adding in the expansion and all the past spotlights about everything you just listed aren't really being added... hell guys relax it's just one thing they're adding. There's going to be more spotlights on the other stuff soon enough.
It's funny how Darkfall produces the most extreme of emotion in people, they either love it or hate it. Even the people that hate it can't stop talking about it.
I remember last year when the game first came out, everyone complained that AV was always too quiet and had no PR, now they try and fix that by talking about everyhthing, even the smallest of details like these fluff items being added. And now people complain they need to stop posting useless info and only talk about the important stuff.
Well they do talk a lot about what is being added in the expansion, and this is just a fluff article to keep people entertained. Seems unfair to jugde an expansion on it.
