Resubscribed recently and made a fresh new charecter to level up to 50. Took me about a month and while I still tried to play at a fast pace I slowed down and it made the game alot more enjoyable. But now I'm 50 and man its overwhelming the ammount of stuff I have to do to remotely catch up. Its hard to find people in the same situation as myself or willing to help do quests like unlocking stigma slots etc. Not to mention going into the abyss so undergeared is absolutely helarious. I'm not saying im the best assassin ever, far from it but i usually win 1v1 against similarly geared or slightly better geared charecters of the opposite faction.
Anyone else that gave the game a 2nd go around having trouble getting end game things done? I also heard of a solo quest line in the upcoming patch anyone know if that will help newer players like me catch up a little bit in terms of gear?

There are 2 things coming that will help with your problem:
Server Merges. Starting tomorrow you're gonna have all servers bursting with players again, thus will be more likely to get groups for the stigma quests and stuff
Huge expansion incoming in Fall. Even though it's a couple of months away, once it hits (new lvl55 cap), then most of the imba gear people have now will not be as imba anymore.
Yeah, server merge should spark new life to the dieing servers, meet new people and maybe like he said above get more people in the same situation to assist you. It was hard finding a regular group for DP even and sometimes for a lannok run. Stigma quest is something a legion usually should help you out with if not, try a pug group, there is someone usually on that is bored and willing to assist~ I'm usually one of those people sitting around or working on alts, if i see someone LFG lets say for 3keys I'll usually run them through it in like 10mins~.
You basically have two options:
1. Do Fenris's/Miragent's grind. This is an extremely long, demanding, and at times depressing quest chain. You can get three pieces pretty easily, but the pants quest is literally the worst thing I've ever done in an MMO. You could get lucky and proc your first time, or you could fail five tries like me and ragequit.
2. Go PVP until rank 1 then PVE your ass off to start saving for 50 gear.
Unfortunately, at 50 most of the people you run into at this point are already geared and as a result will turn you into a smudge when you bump into them. If your server has upper forts run all of those every cooldown. Do Dredgion as much as possible. You can do DP and hope you get lucky, but relying on RNG for gear in a game like Aion is setting yourself up for endless rage. Work on Miragent and when you start feeling burned out go do something else. You're a Sin so you can at least pick your targets.
Without upper forts, a premade, or a good legion it is difficult to catch up in terms of gear. The merges should help liven things up a bit, so you should be able to at least get your advanced stigmas without much trouble.
Thanks for the responses guys. I would really like to do the fenris/miragent quests to help even the curve even though they are tedious boring quests. The biggest problem I am having is getting a group for the group based campaign quests i need to finish to even start the damn fenris quests. I am pretty much just pvp'ing until I start to get really destroyed then I am crafting while looking for groups to do the group campaigns and stigma's etc. Still having a hard time but we will see hopefully server merges will make things interesting.
