Hate to say I told you so but
I TOLD YOU SO!

Stop trolling, and get a life(currently trying myself.. darn hard:( )
And btw - SWG has the best crafting, economy and community in a MMO ever:-) And likewise MxO has some really cool and uniqe things, so maybe you should just shut it?:)
You know, I don't disagree that the game is junk, but at least give reasons. Just saying it's crap without backing it up with solid reasons is just trolling.

have fun. thats all I have to say.
Hmm... one guy trolling and another guy that was banned from the game backing him up. Classy.
There's a ton of gameplay in this game and it's a hell of a lot of fund doing it. Combat is enjoyable and intuitive, moving the storyline along (especially that sneak preview) has been sweet, and the world is huge with plenty of eye candy.
Perhaps it's not for everyone. Perhaps you'd rather hack-n-slash rats in a dungeon. Heck, I've done that plenty of times myself. But The Matrix Online is awesome.
Sorry but I'd have to disagree. Combat for me was a boring affair of repeatedly mashing keys. There didn't seem to be any pattern of whether I would win or lose the rolls and it just seemed way too random. One moment I'd roll a 97 a whoop the guy's ass and the next I'll roll 52 and get pummeled on. Sorry, I prefer moves that work every time I use them, not one that's based on if my enemy can dice roll higher than me. I've had enough of that in RISK.
Eye candy, I would also disagree. Sure, there are regions that are nice to look at but the majority of the world is just this big blandly-colored cut-and-paste mess. If you've been in a couple of buildings, you've seen them all because they're just copy and pasted. Everywhere looks run-down, like the slums, even at the highest graphics settings. Although the world is really detailed (there's trashcans and boxes and the sort all over the place), there's nothing really to look at that takes your breath away, at least not normally.
My personal opinion is that the game is going to flop, relative to player numbers. Of course the game will garner fans but in its current state it stands no chance of getting more than 100K players tops.
Hehe, make a prediction. Wait a couple days. Then proclaim victory with an "I told you so". Priceless. Makes about as much sense as me saying, "I told you the game would rock!" But seriously, I orded the game but it's not here yet. I am going to:
1: Play the game first.
2: Wait and see how it does over time.
3: Then voice an opinion about the game complete with details. (Can't wait to say I told you so though no matter what I think).

Don't like it? Don't freakin' play it.
As for myself and an awful lot of other people, well, the game rocks. There's never been anything like it, and it puts teh story back into RPGs. If your machine can handle the top graphical settings, it's mind-blowingly beautiful. Take time and see a few tutorials or something before you diss the combat system. It takes strategy, timing, and creativity to win...not random rolls. having a hard time hitting with your favorite move? Try a flurry of fast jabs to dizzy your opponant, and THEN try it. Just like real Martial Arts.
The only negative thing I can really agree with is the amount of bugs present at launch, but then I know games that have been around for years that are just as buggy, and this can only get better.
I beta tested this game for months, and I saw it change and grow. I thought I knew what to expect when teh game went live, but I was wrong....the retail version is nothing like the beta. People rating the retail game based on what they saw in beta, or just trolling the game because they didn't like the movies or something is just lame. grow up and get an open mind.
MxO gets worst game of the decade award and the decade isnt even half over.
Make a difference!
Hah. Im gonna dig up one of my "Matrix Online= Uber crapiness."
Roflmao. Its so true.

I agree 100% no other game out at present time has the variety and complexity level of crafting SWG has, take a look at Bio-Engineers as a small quick example, what game can you walk into the wild and DNA sample a creature and create a clone or simply alter it to your likings! lets not even get started on the broad crafting professions for pretty much EVERY component in game from simple weapons to full spaceships, vehicles and structures plus decorations!
SWG was so awful, 9/10 former players would rather have their jaw ripped out and beaten with it. The other 1 person left said he would rather have his jaw ripped out, beatings discluded.
As for MXO
Say what you want about SWG but the undeniable fact is that it has players, and lots of them. Say what you want about SOE, but another undeniable fact is that pretty much every major game they've put out has subscribers well over the 50K mark, with some well over the 100K-200K players mark. Some MMORPGs can only hope to get so many subscribers...
SOE destroyed SWG. All they care about is the power-gamer little boys who will spend a year grinding out that Jedi so they can turn the game into Jedi Academy Online.
I played SWG for a long time...MxO runs better out of the box than SWG did after being out for a year, and doesn't have 10000000 dead player cities littering the game.
SOE doesn't give a shit about their customers. MxO was practically co-designed by the community, because the devs listened to us, and care about their game.
Lol....SWG.....where when you meet a movie character, it's a freakin' talking mannaquin in a theme park. Come on...lame. How about Darth Vader start elimintating some of those damn jedi running around? Oh yeah....he's an NPC...never mind.
Sorry, I'm just a bit bitter over SWG's wasted potential. If it could be saved it would be a great game, but SOE totally ruined it in their quest to lure in and snare power-grinders.
MxO is nice...fun ^^...Good Battle System ^^...Nice Graphic^^.....fun to Kick Exile ass in team ^^...you really feel the pain you do to your ennemie, its not like Hack n Slash where your like, " k, i hit a rats of 2 inch talls with my 7 Feets 2hand sword which is Bigger then me, and the rats still standing .......most be normal"
lol, the topic starter is a troll wannabe.
You got to do better than that.
Which FF Character Are You?
This topic is an MXO debate over the bad and good qualities of the said game, please, stay on topic

I dont like the combat system and its the reason I havn't bought the release version of MxO. Cmon..Arrow keys for combat moves? Then you have to watch your screen to time them instead of watching the game? no thanks hehe.
MxO may be for some but not for me. I am a huge Matrix fan but the game bites the big weener!

"A good man can make you feel sexy,
strong and able to take on the whole world...
oh sorry...that's wine...wine does that..."
What do you mean "Arrow keys for combat moves"? If you mean the arrow keys on the keyboard, they're alternate movement, not interlock commands.
The interlock bar is nothing more than a second quick-bar specifically for combat. You pick what kind of attacks you want to use (fast, strong, grab, blocking) and let the character do it, tossing in special moves and what-not off the actual quick-bar as you like. If you discover your enemy has a particular weakness, you can then exploit it with the proper type of attack.
It's versatile. Multiple hits with fast attacks, for example, will make your opponant dizzy, then opening them up for a head-but or something more brutal.
But if you don't like interlock....be a hacker I guess.
Maybe you should have read the subject line of this topic.
If you can honestly say that this game was well thought out and that interlock is a great new invention you can have fun wasting your 50/15. Why couldnt the devs make interlock switchable targets. Honestly if you can play this game with no multifighting I dont know which matrix movies you saw.
Dude, I was in beta too. I was in Digital Army. I know RIP knew who we were
But the game's far more fun now than it was in beta. I got bored in beta, and used to take like a week off at a time, But retail is a whole differant story.
For those who don't like interlock: sorry, but not everyone likes the same things. Personally, I love interlock.
MxO is a great game, for people who want something differant, with strong RP features. If you've tried everything, but they all lacked "Something", you may find it here. I, and many others, have.

I would like to see you do better.
If you don't like a game it doesn't mean any thing.
I think the economy in this game needs a little work but over all I have enjoyed the beta.
I loved the combat, finding nodes and always having a quest to do is nice.
Keeps me busy. I can go hack in slash or go questing.
I am sure this game will come along way over time.
I'm replying to an older post, but I figured I'd give my 2 cents You said SWG had the best economy system you saw, but if you haven't yet, try EVE online. That game is the best I have seen as far as economy
