yes you can most likely play it on your laptop, but not with the same disk from your ps2 (not sure if thats what you were implying)
Schutzbar - Human Warrior - Windrunner Alliance - World of Warcraft

like i said, you can most likely play it, because it doesnt require much at all, but there is a question of how WELL you will be able to play it.

Schutzbar - Human Warrior - Windrunner Alliance - World of Warcraft
Nihilanth - Kerra Paladin - Blackburrow - EverQuest II
XBL Gamertag - Eagle15GT

Here try this: http://www.playonline.com/ff11us/multimedia/download/bench/
Scroll down until you see this text: "FINAL FANTASY XI for Windows Official BenchMark" And click the download button under it. Also, if you scroll more down you can see the scores and the rates.
What is this program? Well it's basically a video that shows FF XI in-game and it starts a running numbers, when the video starts so wait till the video stops, check your score and compare them on the site.
I don't think it will work with your current videocard. Well, you can post what kind of videocard it is. TNTs don't work... One more thing the benchmark doesn't tell you if your current videocard will work with the FFXI just tells you how well it will perform.
