CCP's Mandrake has revealed the new and improved EVE Online repair tool. On installing EVE Online, the repair tool automatically installs and places an icon on user desktops. Essentially the repair tool is the back up plan in case any files become corrupted due to any problems encounterd during the patch process.
If a patch fails, users will not have to reinstall the entire game from scratch. Simply run the repair tool and any corrupted or unknown files will be fixed allowing players to retry the process. The best part? The patch process will begin at the point where it became corrupted.
At this point, the repair tool is for Windows only but a Mac version is in the works.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Man, this repair tool was a long loooooong time coming. I remember first trying EVE out a few years ago and having to manually replace three corrupted files because nothing I did would fix them.
can you please change the topic title to "Cliente Repair Tool" or something not confusing, i was hoping for a new repair module when i clicked for curiosity.
There is no knowledge that is no power.
second on the specifying it is a client repair tool
You didn't get the memo? This new repair tool is for overheated weapons. It allows you to remote repair fleet mate's overheated weapons. Fiting this mod on your support ships will allow them to contribute to the DPS of a fleet by allowing them to perma overheat their guns and not suffer mod damage.
Or maybe I am just being a tool. Or hopeing for something cool.

I don't see the link in a clean install of Chrome either. While ABP may be part of the problem clearly it's not the whole problem.
Until you cancel your subscription, you are only helping to continue the cycle of mediocrity.
I did the same thing; was disappointed.
When was your last fleet fight? Dude the lag got fixed recently
Actively playing: EVE primarily
Viewed this thread with a clean install of Chrome and the link was quite visible and active. So it is not Chrome that is doing it, you have something installed that is preventing you from seeing the link.
Uh, when was your last fleet fight? Lag is anything but fixed. It was fixed for a while after Apocrypha, but Dominion broke it hard, and Tyrannis made it worse if anything.
0.0 has been at a standstill since December. The only sov that's changed hands has been because of internal sabotage, or politics. The sole exception being -A- taking over Providence, and even then they only had to fight 2-3 major battles before CVA gave up trying to fight the lag monster.

bout effin time... sheesh!
@JanMagic: You're right. CCP has put a lot of work in on fixing lag. They have been for quite a while. They've got more they're going to do with it. That's just who CCP is. They want more people on the grid at once, and unfortunately, the more CCP does, the more people will cram the grid until the game is unplayable.
@Malcanis: yeah, and how much bigger are your fleet fights now compared to two or three years ago? If battle tactics didn't include cramming as many of your own people on the grid to start so the incoming fleet would be lagged to hell, then you would see relatively lag free battles. I tried running a lowsec gate battle once before EA came out (150 or so people on gate). I about panicked because my ship wouldn't jump. (Hey, I was a newb at the time.) Now, I can warp in on the same size fight and jump almost right away instead of worrying about loading and server response to me spamming the 'jump' button. I'd say lag is fixed. Maybe CCP should just implement grid population limits?
*sigh*
CCp pretty much fixed lag soon after Apocrypha launched. It wasn't totally perfect but it was good enough for 1100 people to fight in playable conditions. Then Dominion launched, CCP changed something and things get very suddenly much much worse. Now the server shits itself with anything over 100 v 100. The battle in P-2TTL this spring, with 700 in local, was a disaster that took over 24 hours to clear up. I'm not saying anything contentious here. Lag was much better a year ago with bigger fleets than it is now with smaller fleets. It's a widely accepted, recorded historical fact.

@Malcanis: Heh. I'm not much of a forum warrior over on the eve site itself. I didn't realize it was that bad. I had heard some grumblings about things backsliding, but had never actually heard any numbers. I figured it'd dropped from those high numbers to still better than half. Thanks for the heads up. I tend towards small gang work, be it exploration, pvp, or mining ops (which i have foresworn do to the impending doom of the profession). I've been developing a FW alt to join a buddies corp (they have some skill req's that are a good 4-6 months worth of training), but will keep this in mind for reference.
