Over the course of this weekends beta i stumbled across some Golden Items . The text is golden when you go to pick them up... I was really excited to pick them up .. I got a spiked axe that does like 5-13 damage and has a cool ability and i also got a golden crafting material
Did any of you guys get a golden item ? if so tell me about it

WYI gold / yellow = rare, blue =unique
yeah i've had tons of cool drops, the lie sword i have for my warrior 1 rare sundering dragon sword 13-18 dmg.
but i still like my ramgers 17-31 dmg shocking half moon of defense bow now that kicks ass.
if you ever feel the ned to scarp a rare/unique item them alwasys use and expert kit youcould pull some very cool things out of them
I've had a few of the Yellow/Golden items and have gotten 2 runes from one that was salvaged from the expert Salvage Kit. I got 1 Blue sword that gave me a Sword handle with +cold damage, too bad my Warrior is a Hammer user.
i got a nice yellow hammer that does if i remember 17-25 and anther that does 19-27
whats up with the salvaging and identifying items... talk to me about that
Salvaging items is items that u can salvage with a salvage kit to get crafting materials, and identifying items u need an identifying kit to see what abilities the item can do
sry for my bad english
And about those rare items i picked up a few, a few axes, dont remember all, but 1 was 19-35 damage and +13% while under 50% hp, and the axe i use is 6-27 damage with +4 armor and lenghtens poison
what level were you?
thats some massive damage
and please dont say level 5 rofl
lol, i wasent level 5 i was level 17 at the end of the beta, and i found it by the last quest's explorable area, i found like +10 AWSOME hammers there
Yes, thus far items come in three different colors, and i believe it goes something liek this...
White : Common
Yellow : Uncommon
Blue : Rare
It is nice to have an identifier and an expert salvage kit once you get to lions arch.

i love my (yellow, uncommon) 10-19 dmg air wand, with a bonus of chance to reduce spell recharge time

PvE in general is pretty lame, if you think long and hard about it. You are spending your time beating a severely gimped AI that would lose to a well trained monkey. Best not to think too long and hard why you are wasting time playing games in general actually...
i haven't playyed the beta but u can buy the identifiers and slavagers from regular shops?
yes you can buy identify- and salvaging kits its almost every town at the outfitter ...
hi all first of all
i got a question by the way ...
whats it with the loot system ?? i mean ... i go towards a bone dragon, with bout 6 members ... or less...
i do half of the damage to the dragon ... because im a fighter ... the dragon drops 5 items (just for the example) and i get NONE .... i mean not that i was up to 94 bones , 2 steel ingots, blue dye or something but i actually dont like it .
of course its better to give static loots so no one can steal loot like in diablo, but somehow this isnt quite the way either.

The loot system works out pretty well if you play for a while. You might miss out on that one big drop and yeah that sux, but it seems to keep things pretty even.
Still, it wasn't cool to see a Warrior pick up a nice Blue bow when I'm a Ranger.
there is no 'I' in team
while you might have been doing the damage, there was probably a monk tanking you, a ranger to pull etc. of course a warrior is going to do the majority of the damage, its their role.
In one mission a character refused to res me unless i gave over an item, i dont think its the right way to do things (i was sorely tempted not to heal him for the rest of the mission out of spite) but it shows bartering can be useful. Sometimes players will freely give the items (if anyone asks i usually do, or ask if they have any dye etc.) or trade for reduced coinage, it all depends on your group.

Personally if I was in that party and seen someone trying to extort an item for a rez I would have removed him from party or left. Its one thing to barter . If thats the way things are done then you should have after being rezzed demanded it back for healing. lol. Make more friends trading for items then extorting them.
I got this staff for my elementist/monk it does +10 fire +10 smite damage
i can fight most stuff with 1 or 2 people now
....but there is an M and an E!!!
I agree however that GW has one of the better loot distribution systems. (But then I'm partial to strict Round Robin looting assuming things will average out over time, and "Player Skill" includes having sufficient social ability to negotiate reasonable trades. (Need Before Greed concepts nearly always degenerate into "My Need Before Your Need" Greed systems.)
That is part of the reason that I've liked playing with my guild. If you need or want something you can usually find someone who has it and is willing to give it to you. That is how my level 5 and 7 characters got some really nice weapons.
The loot system is completely random.
I know some back-line healers complain about getting less drops than others...but they're full of it, since I'm a back-line healer, and I've gotten more drops than most of my teammates
If anything, warriors miss out on the most loot, since alot of them don't bother to look backwards after a fight to see if they missed any loot dropped for them @_@
well its cool when your a warrior and you pick up a good bow
and your fellow ranger picks up a two handed axe and you guys trade... its fun
