Hi guys
I have been playing this game for over a week and have really had some fun. Its basic but what the game offers works. Not saying that things dont need tweaking.
So my friend decided to try it out last night and he never got more than 10 seconds of gametime before it crashes not only the game but his whole comp. Thats bad. He is running a fair rig with a ATI Radeon card.... Shouldnt really be a problem and never was before... but here its big trouble.
We tried various things all night to get the game working and we just could not. Then at last i went to the forums and there it took me 5 MINS TOPS to round up over 30 posts with the exact same issue. ALL of them where ATI cards. Is there a pattern?
How the fuck can they sell a game well knowing that many buy them and wont be able to play?
And why is this issue not at their freakin website as a known issue... it took ME 5 mins to figure out that it IS!.
I am so pissed at these companies... they just dont give a f...
SO ATI OWNERS STAY AWAY FROM APB.. IT BUSTS YOUR COMP EVERY FREAKIN TIME!

Well, I played it on an ATI card with no issues whatsoever. So this "busts your comp every freakin time!" thing is just bullshit from a whiner, and is to be ignored.
I am no whiner...
If you would bother to go through their forums you would see that i am right.
Why make so aggressive posts.. who pissed you off this morning? I know i didnt.
everyone stay away the game is shit
I really love this game, been playing it since March (Furious Fighter beta tester)
and so far i've never had any problems with my ATI cards on this game (2x HD5870's)
You whined, so I called you a whiner.
You stated untruths, so I called you on it. Obviously it does with with ATI, because I have an ATI card and played it.
The game sucked, I hated it, but it played just fine.
why does someone call the OP a whiner? this is ridiculous.
It has nothing to do with APB, it has to do with ATI. In every blue moon on friday night ATi get ahead on NVidia and launches a "better" gfx card, with and "fair" price, then owners start complaining with crashes and such start blaming on the software, while the motherboard is filled with chipsets NVidia and all other "nasty" things that goes behing the curtains. Sorry for ya buddy, but that kind of complain is historical in any forum in any kind of game related to ATI.
now: GW2 (11 80s).
Dark Souls 2.
future: Mount&Blade 2 BannerLord.
"Bro, do your even fractal?"
Recommends: Guild Wars 2, Dark Souls, Mount&Blade: Warband, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning.
I have a ATI card 5870 and np so far with most games but its true ATI is not that dedicated to games then nvidia.
If you buy a game you mainly see nvidia suported with there logo almost never a ATI logo, but im still happy with my card np at all.
Btw when a game crashes it can be so many things cousing this that its difficult saying whats cousing your crash.
Give exact specs of your rig and maybe we can determ whats cousing your problem.
Win7 64bit these days with at least 4gig ram is must
My rig is win7 64bit 6gig ddr3 x58mb 850watt psu ati 5870 card icore 7 3.5ghz runs so all games smoothly even xp games becouse win7 is backward compitble with most xp games.
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009.....
In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
Yeah ATI cards and this game is a big problem. it's why I haven't bought it yet. I'm waiting til I can upgrade my rig.
no problems with HD5770 - but the game is ... boring?
Sometimes i am shocked how people can trash each other on the internet.
No wonder we live in a hostile world.
I wouldnt have signed up on this forum and written about it if there was no problem at all.
Its good to get some decent feedback from you guys and maybe they are only having problems with the 4 or 3 series cards.
Still i think that it should be looked into.
What rig are you guys running?
The game is lacking but i think what it has now works good. It is tough when starting up fresh but with a little help from friends ingame you can be competitive pretty fast.
I look forward to see what updates and features they come up with.
I was going to give this game a try, but no free trial. There did seem to be a way to buy a little game time with 5 bucks, so I was thinking about it. Now I won't, since my card is ATI. So thanks for the heads up. Damn no free trial games.
I am convinced there is only one way to eliminate these grave evils, namely through the establishment of a socialist economy, accompanied by an educational system which would be oriented toward social goals.

ATI 4870 here, no problems due to the card noticed (game seems to have a slow memory leak over a few hours time, etc, and there have been a couple of texture issues.)
Running a Sapphire Radeon HD 5870 with zero problems.
I'd suspect improperly installed drivers or something.
My rig's an Asus Rampage III extreme with (3x 2GB ddr3 ram) and 750w PSU.
-1 to the OP, he could've been a little less offensive.
Tell me,
How many years of experience do you have in an IT position?
Did you even graduate college in an IT field?
What tests did you do to come to this conclusion? How do you know its not outdated drivers, the audio drivers, the MB chipset, the network, the network card, a bad PS that is causing his problems.
Maybe your friends problem is the same as I think your problem is... its ID:10t
I have 5770 x2, no issues with the latest ATI drivers.
When I installed I experienced a few PhysX conflictions with the method of installation and already existing software but apart from that (oh and the fact my gpu made a hissing noise and burnt out) no problems here.

The computer at home that has APB on it is running Windows 7 x64 with 2x5770 in crossfire with no issues at all. Using latest catalyst.

Hi there
Why would i have to be computer wiz to know that there is a problem?
Search their forums (if they didnt delete half the posts by now) and you would not have wrote what you just did.
If a game fails on a certain card it is not due to the users. It is their damn job to make the game playable. You cant expect people to be Engineers and such.
Though you might have a better knowing background and you sure behave like it then you still fail to see the point. Many many gamers dont care about PhysX, Directx, Drivers, Specs and whatever they want to download the game and play..carefree. If you have read the requirements and your comp lives up to it then it should be straight forward.... Its not so there is a problem.
Maybe your problem is that your high *cough* education made you ignorant of the obvious.
I respect your oppinion and it has been taken to account. It works so much better being polite.
Would you recommend a complete wipe of drivers? then reinstall?
I didn't like the game at all but I too played the beta with a ATI HD 5870 on an I7, Win 64 system and had zero problems. Making a post claiming that the game doesn't work with ATI card is plainly untrue and dumb.
Even citing the fact that there are lots of ATI owners having similar problems doesn't prove a thing. There are millions of people playing online games with ATI cards and if any bug rears its head, you can be sure plenty of people experiencing the problem are going to be ATI owners.
Then how do you explain the fact that there are nearly no NVIDIA problems on the forums?
I did an extensive search and the only NVIDIA cards that had problems where old enough to be from the Roman Empire.
I am not citing anything. I am stating that there is a problem.
Why are NVIDIA card users not seeing problems to the extend of the ATI users of this game?
Why do you bother to question my technical abbilities again and again when that is not the issue here. You only want me put in miscredit. For what reason?.
Played it on my 4870hd with no issues, wasnt impressed with the game but never had any ATI problems.
I've played many hours on my crossfire 4870s with no issues at all.

I've always had problems with ATI cards so I stopped buying them. Since I swapped out my HD4870 to a GTX285 last year I've had no graphics issues at all. When I upgrade to an i7 CPU next yeat I will stick with nVidia cards.
