No, those temperatures are just fine, a bit on the cool side for an Athlon but perfectly normal for an Intel. Of course the support people can't help you with something like that.

Dude, stop being bitter about getting banned, and stop freakin' TROLLING.

Thread starter: I wish I had those temps. My processor runs 55c playing MxO. But that's my fault....using stock heatsink/fan. Gonna have t so something about that b4 summer.

Wow i wish my temps were that low!! Your temps are just fine :) If your comp is crashing then try a reinstall of your graphics car drivers and directx9c.

    Hope this helps?

Athlon XP chips should run at about 50-55 C with the stock heatsink/fan (HSF). Dunno about 64 chips but I heard that the frying temperature is the same (about 75 C) so I'm assuming they run at the same temps also.

Not sure about Intel but I know they run cooler. I think their frying temp is 60 C and average running temp is 35-40, but don't quote me on that. Ambient temperature plays a big difference too, here in Hawaii I've never seen an ambient temperature of less than 34 C during the day inside my case. Lowest it went was 31 C on a very cold night (dipped to about 68 F outside).
