pc systems and any possible problems

it seems that everywhere I go, I hear people are having problems with their pc while playing wow. I myself have had my pc crash over a thousand times.

I've bought myself a new grafic card ( geforce5500 fx= low budget) and some extra ram (now 768mb) and things are finnally working the way they should.

now I was just wondering how many people are having problems with their pc while playing wow and what system config they have?

ps: my own pc config is:-athlon amd 1600+
-geforce 5500 fx
-twinmoss 768mb ram (1*512+1*256)

    P4 3.6 HT
    1gig ram
    x800 Pro

I've crashed about half a dozen times since Euro retail. VPU does an excellent job of recovering though and I can carry on playing without any annoying restarts.

    Only had one complete lock-up.

    AthlonXP 2600+ O/C 2.2ghz

2 x 512mb OCZ Platinum (Dual channel) RAM

    ABIT AN7 Motherboard

    Geforce 6600GT

i've not had that many crashes with the game, i did use to have a few but that was because i o/c'd my old graphics card (Geforce Ti4200) too much hehe, once i turned it down, the game ran fine. The odd bug i've had since upgrading my gfx card is that the mouse cursor will disappear when i run the game, dont know why this was happening but i fixed it by selecting s/w cursor, its not as smooth as h/w cursor but at least i can see what im doing!

If your getting lots of crashes try reinstalling your gfx card drivers and Directx9c.

It could also have been a heat issue, did your old card have lots of dust over its heatsink&fan?

    3.06 Ghz, 768 RAM, Windows XP, Nvidia 5200 64mb

I got the blue screen so many times, I eventually stopped playing.   Not to try and hijack this thread, but I have never recieved a blue screen outside of WoW.  No game or app has given me one.  Makes me wonder image
