Why I am being serious......
I actually loved FFXI Endgame, so much to do, i loved my one and only trip into Dynamis (stopped playing shortly afterwards due to RL issues)

If you are serious, and you are poor... well maybe you should have set your priorities before buying the CE. Nowhere on the CE did it say that you were to get a beta invite. Guess what? I'm pretty broke. I haven't even preordered the game, even though I plan to play. Do you know why? I need the money for other things at the moment.

At least there's 8 days early access, watch video posts and read up more on the game all the way up to the release date and if it doesn't look like your bag of chips, then cancel it and save your money for something else. If you have played Final Fantasy XI and you can honestly say you had fun playing it, then I'm very sure you'll want to buy this game, if you played Final Fantasy XI and it bored you to hell and back, lol you'd better just cancel before you can blink an eye.
Unless what your buying says your you have early access to beta, due to pre-order or what edition, then that's great. But in your case, it looks like it doesn't, some companies span out large beta invites and some companies don't.
Most people don't even use forums when beta testing software, which really defeats the whole purpose of beta testing games and software in the first place.
From what I've heard from a few friends of mine testing it, it's not as great as they hoped it would be, but it's a huge improvement and lot better then XI, that's what they told me.
Last time I can say I really enjoyed a Final Fantasy game was X for PS2 and that was a long time ago, I am a fan of the series, but not of all the new change.... I do hope this game is great, because it is on my to buy list, here's to hoping it's a great game.

Playing: Diablo 3, WOW, Far Cry 3 & X-Com.
Enjoyed: WOW 5 1/2 yrs, LOTRO 3yrs, GW 1/2yr, DFO 1yr, EVE Online 3yrs, and Huxley (Beta).
Failed to impress: GW2 3months, Tera Online 6 months (best combat system in any MMO I've played) STO 1/4yr, Aion 1/2yr, AoC 1yr, CO, Fallen Earth, DDO, EQ2 1/2yr, WAR 1/2yr, Lineage 2 and FF XI 1/2yr, FF XIV.
X, in my opinion, was the lat best one. X-2 was a copt out, 12 was dull, and 13 was just...a step in the wrong direction. I am looking forward to 14. I have the money, which is the only reason why I am getting the pre-order, so I look forward to the 8 early days though i am sure there will be a lot of people on still....I could not get into 11 only because 1) didn't first play until last year, lol...and 2) didn't have a PS2 controller for my PC. I now have a ps3 controller and I'm actually liking what I see. I think the reason I will enjoy it more than others is because I never, truly, played 11 and it is a rather, different, MMO then the MMOs I play so it is still going to be more fresh for me than others. Hopefully I will see you on there, my friend
Beta is over rated what you really payed for is the head start in the long run thats all that really matters. To be fair why did you buy the CE expecting to get into beta when they said nothing about it? You really can't complain about the money you spent if you knew beta entry wasn't part of the offer. Further more if you assumed the pre-order CE would get you in follow the old saying to assume makes an a** out of you and me. Just be happy with the headstart so you can be in great gear when the servers open to the masses or be one of the first to max a character on your server. I wish you luck.
