Hey guys, i love TCGs and played Yu-Gi-Oh before, but had to stop, coz of its money-consuming gameplay. However, i was asking myself, if there is a REALY free to play TCG, where you can play as long as you want, without paying real money or having massive disadvantages if you are not paying like in Battleforge or all those warmonger-technoids whatsoever clones with the same handling and gameplay, but different names.
P.S. Ive already played Urban Rivals - nice payment system, but a bit boring.

Flash based, not really an MMO but anyways; http://www.kongregate.com/games/zanzarino/elements
It is possible to play vs players or NPC's.. fun for few hours but not probably what you're looking for.
Played it already, but there is nothing like a newbie zone, so you have to play vs ppls with better skills and better cards or you wont be able to advance any further.
Yeah, you gotta grind NPCs alot before you can do well in pvp.
Just tried fantasy masters - thousands of cards, nice gameplay, and who wonders - at least you have to pay money to get the rare cards....How i hate the abusing of "free to play", why dont they simply write "thats just a demo, dont expect to reach anything"
the game Saga is great I used to play it, you collect cards to create armys then fight, pve or pvp.
Well, by their very nature, TCG's promote money and trading as seen by M:TG and the multitude of clones. One that is forgiving (I've spent $5, everything else from in-game), that I've played off and on for months is Warstorm.
Development has been a bit slow since they are focusing on their facebook version (which is lame since it has no economy, thus everyone gets all cards, and rares/artifacts are irrelevant.) The community support is great. Battles are automated and really fast and there's always people online. I highly recommend giving it a try, it's a fun game.
Well, i know that TCG normally includes investment of money, but its only because nobody besides urban rivals tries to make a real free to play game, where you can play and relay on your skills, rather then your money.
Correct me if im wrong, but Saga works in the same way like Battle (and atm Beggar-) forge - pay, or you will have tiny, useless units, neither supporting nor fitting each other, so you have barely a chance to win, even in PvE.
Played Warstorm, but its not f2p aswell, as i assume that a f2p game gives you a real chance to advance in a game without beeing punished with months of grinding.
Dont get me wrong, i like to spend money for real games, like Mass Effect or Bioshock - but p2p TCGs are some kind of endless leecher - you pay to become successive, new cards are coming out, you pay more to stay good, new cards are coming out, and you pay more, as you think that your earlier investion would be useless if you stop paying and your deck becomes weak.
