Multiboxing in FFXIV possible?

MariouzMariouz Member Posts: 186

Wonder if it will be possible to multibox the game, I know some people where able to do it in XI so I see no reason why it will not be possible in XIV. So if you could multibox the game lets say 2 accounts or up to 15 lol would you multibox it?

I dual and triple boxed FFXI but I'm not sure about FFXIV. I'm going to worry about whether I can play with 1 account first. My bf and I will each have an account so  if our comps can run 2, we will definitely try. lol

What possible reason could there be to be a boxer, seriously? The only players I have seen who box with identical toons and ridiculously similar names were only gold farmers.

Well one reason would be boxing a tank and a healer all you need are a few dps friends and you've got yerself an insta group.

But unless you've got a screaming machine I doubt it would be possible to box FFXIV

Or do what I do and get more friends to play. Thus, no box needed. Woot!

Then go check out Dual-boxing.com its a whole website dedicated to folks who enjoy boxing. I personally did it with wow till I moved on to other things.

Boxing lets you do group content solo which...if you have grouped witha nyone in any mmo in the past 5 years you can understand the bonus for it.

Sup Pyro, I boxed too and visited the website all the time, I even met up with the group for dinner when they where out here last year during Blizzcon hehe.

Well one reason to Box a game is to do what others dont. To do your own thing, and whatever, I boxed WoW and did everything other than raid with my 5 man group, 1 Pally tank, 1 priest and 3 shaman, I was a one man show. I did it after getting tired of playing with ediots and not having the time to play with others, boxing gave me the freedom to play what I wanted when I wanted and when I had time to play, still have 5 live accounts though they are payed until Sept they have been cancelled for months since I am waiting for XIV to come out.

But I do have about 8 friends that will be playing the game, so no boxing for me, or if it does not work out I will go back to WoW Box the content in Catha and when something better comes out cancel my accounts again. I want to level a Cow Pally and 4 goblins if I do play tired of the alliance side.

4am Tiamats where only 6 people are online and you need a few healers.

FFXI rewarded low manning, thus everyone i played with duel boxed.

just make friends, isn't the point of these things to be social and play with other people?

Not everyone wants to be a healer. Putting together a group in FFXI and not one person wants to refresh or heal sucks. Dual boxing solves this problem.

Well there where friends, the problem is that I could not log on when they where on or they could not log on when I was on... and while it was ok about 4 years ago after the game came out, the community as a whole for the most part when down the toilet in WoW, while you could find some one to party with there was no actual grouping involved meaning that it was an attitude of hurry up and lets get this done so I can go do something else. I mean after a while that got old and it made me just say screw this I am going to go and box that way I dont have to worry about anyone being a tool or jerk in the game. And then you had the whole LF Healer thing going a lot of times it gets old fast so bam 5 box I have heal's/DPS/tank and I dont have to worry about anything.

Not so.   I like playing healer/support roles in groups and I know a lot of people who share my sentiments.

The armory system in FF14 is going to make playing a healer even easier because you don't always have to be the healer.  One group you can be the healer the next you're an archer.

Never argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level, then beat you with experience.

And a lot of other people do also, but and that is a big but, normally the amount of healers vs groups being formed is not 1:1 most of the time it is well 1 healer : 10 groups.... it will now work out well for the groups that do not get a healer. But there's another but, you sir are correct that XIV implementation should alleviate this issue I hope.
