Races hardly matter in the end. Go for it.

Male elf warriors just look like weenies so you may get people to underestimate you. Other than that you can shadowmeld(turn invisible while standing), but that doesn't seem very warrior like.

My neighbor said night elves make good rogues because they have shadowmeld, but he isnt very smart, since a rogue already has stealth and doesnt need shadowmeld...
However, a Night elf warrior with shadowmeld sounds decent.

Shadow meld helps my friend in some situations. I have never played a Night Elf so I am not really sure if it is all that great, but he swears by it, so I beleive it has its uses.

Any race can be warriors, Night Elves are a good race in my opinion because they get an agility bonus which helps Warriors out with attacking and have good starting stats as far as strength and stamina go.

I think if you'd really like to be a warrior, though, and you don't mind which faction you are fighting on, you might want to sneak a peak at the Tauren or Orc race. That is where I see the most benefit for being a hunter.

Be whatever race floats your boat. WoW isn't very technical at all as regards to your toon.. except Talents which apply identically to all races of the same class.

I heard on www.worldofwar.net rogue forums that shadowmeld adds an extra point to MoD (master of Deception) wich makes you less detectable, and thus a better stealth rogue. I just heared this, it doesnt say so on the ability itself, but lots of other powers have effects that aren't written.

    anyway, dunno for sure image

Tauren Warrior is the best pick for a warrior IMO.

#1 - Their racial ability of +5% hit points/health.  (How can you not like another 5% to your hit points?)
#2 - War Stomp... a GREAT ability for a warrior.  Causes great agro and it's a great way to get crazy situations under control.  Got someone that wandered off and attracted a group of mobs to your group/raid?  Run into the thick and war stomp.  You just bought 3 seconds of time to get the situation under control.  I don't think there are many racial abilities (the clickable ones anyways) that you would use as frequently as a warrior as War Stomp.

The downside is you're mostrously large (but then again, it's better for your view, just not anyone elses around you).  When fighting gnomes and such, it's just about impossible to see them.

Of course if you're choosing the alliance, then you're not going to have them as an option.

If they are within range you can just hit the tab key. Tab key is the default key for next foe. I play a tauren druid and selecting can an issue with his large size, but true you can see better. ::::40::

actually shadowmeld DOES states that it helpes rogue/druid stealth... it just doesn't say in which way or how much (not that you can quantitize it much now, can you?)

A night Elf warrior is a fine choice, i have one. just keep one thing in mind. Theldrassil, the newbie 1-12 level area for NE is completely devoid of mineral ores of any type. (being a giant tree and all). As such, if you planned to get blacksmithing/engineering paired with mining, you won't be able to start it up until you come to darkshore.
