Plz Help! performance problem

Hi Everyone!
I´m a big fan of UO since 7 years ago and I decided to play it again... But I am having this problem and I can´t find how to solve it, so I hope you guys can help me.
Its simple... I log into the game (UO:AoS, 2D or 3D) and it seems fine. But as times goes the game starts to run slower... It is fine when it starts but 5 minutos later it becomes really slow and I cant play it anymore!
This can´t be my hardware... I have a pentium IV 1.5ghz with 512 rambus, a Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB, ADSL and everything! I played Lineage 2, WoW, Tantra and each run perfectly, except UO that I love 
Maybe thats because I am using Windows 98? or drivers problem??
Plz help, I really wanna play UO again. Thanks!

I know when I had problems with UO uninstalling it and reinstalling it worked, also making sure you are patched up to the newest version. I there are no real settings in UO that I know of that you can change to fix that type of problem. I have an AMD 64 2 ghz, 512 mb pc 2400 mem, and a Geforce 4 ti 4600 video card. I have always been told 2D runs better then the 3D client. Might also try posting here

I have same problem,.sounds start to echo right? game starts to get slower an slower? only get 5 mins of perfect play after a fresh reboot? you can just leave it on the log in screen an it will happen?
I have a awsome system,. i can run any game like its pacman,.ALL but UO lmao.
yep i know,. iv been to every site i swear,. iv emailed phoned,. no one can help me,. i bet my post is at site's all over still from last year with no help,.think i might go look lol.
iv looked into this big time an heard alot of crafty ppl that think there smart an tell me all kinds of reasons,,. an posible problems with my system,.
iv reinstalled UO after every upgrade on my PC ,. no dice every time.
the only thing i can think of is its sound blaster some how an one of the past patchs,. i can play on a free server that dont use the patchs,. so i know half the problem is a patch.
the other half is the sound card some how,i think. i really have no idea. only reason why is,. iv replaced everything on my PC one at a time an sound blaster is the only thing thats sorta the same. went from the 5.1 to the 24bit audigy,. kinda the same card.
this is the first time iv seen someone with the same problem in 2 years iv been looking. good luck.
In all my years playing UO this is the first I've hear of this problem. I'm curious, are both of you using Sound Blaster cards? I suggest ruling out hardware as a potential problem. Completly remove the sound card from your system and the drivers also. Run UO and see if the problem persists.
OMG! yes, its exactly like that... and again yes, I have a sound blaster card.

CRAP! lol... ok I´ll try some other possible solutions, if I find out what it is I´ll post it back here.
Btw... The patch seems to be envolved, I was able to play without it, but since you cant really play without a patch, its not a solution.
