Why i left WoW

AmaraoAmarao Member UncommonPosts: 650

No,classes are any long time fun

PvP,is terriblle

Around lvl 20 the games lvling stops

To many glitches,I got stuck in a rock ALOT

When you look at one tree then look at another tree its the same tree

Ever noob cave is the exact same besides THE COLOR

The graphics are annoyingly cartoony

lag got really bad for me

Lastly every quest is a delivery or a collect this much of this by killing this much of that.

This is why WoW only kept me intrested for a few weeks.

My hunter has been fun since I got my first pet at level 10.  I still love playing my hunter even after I've hit 60 and keep re-running Stratholme, Blackrock Spire, and Scholomance for my set.  What makes it fun is that I have goals. My current goal is:  Get the Beaststalker's Set. I have a variety of other impossible to do goals that help make the game more enjoyable.

PvP is fine. I love fighting Horde when I am in the Barrens. Ganking and such. They just need to add an incentive which they will do on an upcoming patch.

If the game stopped at level 20 I wouldn't be level 60 right now.  You haven't done any of the better dungeons that are tons 'o' fun.

I've been from Darnassus to Elwynn the Blasted Lands and I can tell you they do not look the same.

No, have you been to the Barren's "noob" cave? It's red. The one for humans is blue.

I love the graphics personally.  Makes me feel like I'm a "unit" from WC3.

Lag got really bad but it will improve. By you quitting I guess it won't but It will for me.

This one I have to agree with you.  Blizzard could add new quests.

I have found myself cancelling WoW month to month now because they are really not providing a solid gameplay experience.  The game itself is one of the best MMORPG's out right now, but it is hindered with technical problems.  I find myself less interested in playing now days because I know that I'll have to wait in line, have to deal with awful lag spikes that I'm paying for image.  Oh, and now after that patch they just put out, I can only play for about an hour before my screen turns black.  Then, I can't even alt-tab out of the program, yet Windows is still running.  I just have to press the power button to shutdown the PC because WoW blinded me.

Summary:  WoW is a good MMORPG plagued with technical problems and bugs.  I would cancel my account with WoW if there was another MMORPG out that compared to it, but there isn't one yet IMO, and my friends/family play this game.  So, I am like a broken record right now, (cancel)(sign up)(cancel)(sign up).  At least until I can't take it, and then I'll quit WoW.  image

    1. Agree - The classes stop getting new spells and just new ranks around LVL 40 I believe; leveling becomes a lot longer as well.  But, what class in any MMORPG right now is long time fun???

    2. Partially Agree - For PvP to be fair, it has to be balance and right now it's about 3 to 1 alliance to horde ratio on most servers.  The battles are ongoing because people spawn and come back to fight and die and then spawn and come back to fight.  PvP might change though after the honor system if it doesn't crash everyone's PCs

    3. Partially Agree - The leveling doesn't stop literally, but the slow down is noticeable at 20 like it is at 30 and the most noticeable, 40+.  Leveling in WoW is still faster than what I'm used to, aka EQ, EQ 2... etc.  thanks to the rest bonus.

    4. Agree - The glitches in WoW are far too many for a retail game.  I probably got stuck in that same rock before.

    5. Indifferent - Since trees are plentiful in MMORPG's, I didn't really look down on the game for that because let's face it, it'd take up a lot of RAM to have that many different models of trees

    6. Agree - After playing a lot of alts, I noticed that same thing about the caves being the same but having different scenery.  Just a way of cutting corners and saving space on harddrives I guess.  Since they are not that big of dungeons, they could have made them different.

    7. Disagree - The cartoon like graphics do not bother me, although they could have made the models a little more detailed and added more customization in character creation.  But, the graphics do the job since it is Warcraft after all.

    8. Agree - This falls under glitches I think, but lag is really bad sometimes... well, a lot of sometimes lately.

    9. Partially Agree - The quests do get repetitive, but quests are like jobs to me and if so, they will be repetitive just like my job.

1)each class is unique and has very wide selection of tools at its disposal. So far i always get new things, i know it won't last but then it never last AND you get new things by talents as well, awesome.

2)i'm not in pvp much so i am not sure. the little pvp i did it made my adrenaline start pumping like crazy... it was exciting. I'm sure battlefileds will be great

    3) i'm 28, my friend is 43. nope. it just slow down like in 100% of all other mmorpgs around there, it slows down the higher you go. only in WoW it never slow THAT down (you believe i have never been 28 in another game before?)

    4) *shrugs* i got stuck once cause of my stupidity and the "unstuck" button worked. so... beside that, there aren't many glitches i saw.

    5)mmmmh.... your point being?

6)not the color. the environment. you go from iced places to jungle vines and the like. the only thing that is similar is the basic layout. But that do not apply to many places out there.

7)the graphics are stylish to me, i appreciate them a lot.

    8) not much lag to speak about.

    9) *shrugs* again, are playing the same game? cause many quests, to me, have specials included with them. some are quite complex to do and lead to unexpected results, some have little scenes that playes out in middle, at the end or at start (or in all parts), the rewards are awesome and the stories are well written. what are you searching here?

I disagree with everything OP posted here, but everyone has their own opinion I guess. ::::13::

I am the type of player where I like to do everything and anything from time to time.

Also disagree with everything the original poster claims.

The only partial merit I give them is that PvP needs to have both a loss factor as well as a gain factor in order for it to be realistic and something to venture into carefully as opposed to having no concern about losing.
