Looking for MMORPGs similar to Flyff

NapalmDeathNapalmDeath Member Posts: 21

Hello people. I've recently considered starting flyff after a long time, but I don't really like the management of the game. So, can any of you recommend me on other MMORPGs that are similar to it? By similar, I mean:

- Same or similar concept/gameplay

- Similar system requirements

- Similar look(graphics, menus, etc)

Thanks in advance

In before someone suggesting EvE online... In Flyff you can fly and in EvE you can fly too (with a spaceship), so it totally makes sense to suggest EvE, doesn't it? [/sarcasm] You see i even got EvE online suggested here on one thread of mine where i had specifically mentioned "no spaceship games"...

"Traditionally, massively multiplier online games have been about three basic gameplay pillars – combat, exploration and character progression. In Alganon, in addition to these we've added the fourth pillar to the equation: Copy & Paste."

Sorry, I don't consider EvE similar to Flyff just because you can fly in both of them.

    Anything else?

There was a video on MMOHut.com, he said it felt a lot like Flyff, I watched all the videos yesterday and I can't remember which one it was.  Sorry didn't help but take a look at Omar's reviews.

Just saw a gameplay video of Fiesta. Looks great, and similar to flyff I think. Gonna try it out soon, thanks!

i pretty much only play F2P games now since most P2P games that have came out are absolute garbage now adays. old school UO, oh how i miss you....

FlyFF was one of the first F2P I got hooked on. started before the pickup pets were introduced around update 3 or so. had a BP to lvl 86 or so. Have yet to find a game with as fun as classes as BP and psy keeper but heres what ive played and liked. I will try to give you a "newer" game list as jumping into a game that has been out for 3-4 years is absolutely terrible if you dont use the cash shop

    grand fantasia:

not too bad of a grind. the classes are pretty fun. they seem to have put a lot of content in since release. there is a "sprite" system which is somewhat like a pet system. when they are out they collect things for you. when they are not out you can have them fetch resources and do crafting for you.

    ether saga online:

grind is not bad at all. the classes are pretty cookie cutter but they are still fun. decent PvP. Easy to get to end game content/find alliance. there is a very extensive pet system. you can catch them, breed them to give them higher stats, etc, etc. the pet i have in the game can hit as hard as some end game people. community is "decent".

    bright shadow:

am actually currently downloading this game as i type. Seems to be the kind of game i like and has had some decent content put in since release. the classes also look pretty neat.

    Zentia:

this game is in closed beta at the moment. will probably go into open beta sometime next month. is extremely fun for me at the moment to plink around in. the classes seem pretty unique. you can tame creatures in the world and use some of them as combat mounts. i have "heard" of mounts you can tame that can carry up to 10 people with you (i think its a dragon).  character customization is non-existant as you have 20 "pre-set" characters you can choose for appearance. the good thing is that you can get fashion items outside of the item mall and they look pretty good. it gives you the ability to set yourself apart from the others. also, you can play as a MONKEY, yes you read correctly, a freaking monkey. it amuses me.

games that are coming out you may want to look in to as well:

    forsaken world

    soul master

    divine soul

    vindictus

    dragon nest

Thanks for the suggestions but I think I'll just stick with Fiesta. If I won't like it, though, I'll take a look at one of the games you mentioned.

Thomasgerry: saw ROSE online a long time ago, didn't like it.

The only game I can think of that is similar to flyff is perfect world. You can fly on both games and they are also both grindfest games.

Yep I'm considering perfect world as well.

Give zentia Online a try as well, a very well made F2P mmo but, yes Grand Fiesta is close to Flyff play style O.O
