Beta MMORPG.com compitition, the key was a lie?!

I donno which of you entered the LOTRO Unlmited Beta Key compitition during mid/end of July, I think it was the 25th or something, but it seems I won and haven't recieved my key yet and all MMORPG.com can do is blame Turbine claiming its their responsability to contact me. Now I know what some of you might say, so why not just contact them? Well I might but reason why I am posting this is to see how many of us who won it actually recieved a key or is this just a big fat lie?! So far I haven't seen anyone post about recieving a key, or not, so I thought I'd ask. So have any of you who won the said compitition actually recieved a key?

Pretty sure none of us have email said if we hadn't got by the 6th we would need to contact Turbine.
Your right, but they say something about "waves" and nobody here has received his/her key.
I'm still waiting. It says on mine to wait until 6th of August before contacting them. Not too bothered to be honest. If it comes it comes.
yeah, I got that one too, this was after I emailed them asking why I hadn't got my key after about 48 hours or so of the winners being announced. So I assume even you haven't recieved one yet? Tis funny, its the 2nd today and I doubt we'll even get one this week so I'm not holding my hopes up, I think its time we start emailing Turbine >_>
Some keys from the contest went out last week.
I think getting a key falls into the same area as talking about The Fight Club. First rule - Don't talk about the Fight Club. NDA and all that.

Oh yeah? I have yet to see those who recieved it say "I've got mine!" I see more people saying "So far no luck". Personally I think its all a load of bullshit but we shal see. To be honest if I end up with more than a few hundred saying they haven't in this thread I think I might even forward this to Turbine personally and state how shameful it is to promise something they don't keep to or seriously delay. I can understand they have games to run but this game has been out long enough, how much work does it truly take to modify it to run on cash shop? not alot really, especially when they've already done this with DDO:U. Besides, they can't really test anything if they are holding back the testers now can they? I do i nfact submit bugs I find, I have been in many beta tests before so its not like I'm just some kid looking for a free game, I like to see games pull through, and adding a cash shop feature to make it available and affordable for everyone is a bonus imo.
Im in the same boat man. Got the email as soon as the contest was over, and still haven't received the key. I really want to start playing
o well. If I don't receive it soon im going to contact them. Ill probably give it another day or so.
The NDA was lifted today.
The beta server is currently down to make some hardware upgrades and wont open untill sometime tomorrow so they will probably not send any invites untill its open again.

Well since the NDA has been lifted ..... Actually it wasn't just adding the cash shop to the system. The Man, Hobbit intro's had major changes done to them, the Elf not so much and the Dwarf was pretty much the same. Quest flow was cleaned up and made getting into the game easier for new players, some new quests were added. They've done quite a bit actually.
As far as testers went there were quite a few of us in it running everything from new toons to end cap's and we gave it a pretty good thrashing.

Could you explain that further? kidding. . kidding. I have not gotten mine yet but thought I would check in first. . . I am hoping the "rush" of new players might mean some new servers. I wouldn't mind starting out again since it has been awhile. Fresh server would be good.

Im still waiting to but no big deal. I doubt the contest was a fake Ive won beta keys before from here and Ive always gotten them. Need to be patient its not there fault we havent gotten them yet.
apparently MMORPG.com winners are last on the list lol. Bottom of the barrel.
Just to update I just recieved my key from turbine. I hope everyone gets their keys soon they expire on 8/13.
Ugh that sucks... they give it to use with less then a week to play if we get it by August 6th...
The keys expire not the beta.

Got my key yesterday...
Took them some time, but they kept their promise, still no word how the european version is handled.
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
I just got my key but dont realy have the time to play atm. If anyone who didnt win want my key just send me a message.

Same, got mine yesterday. As for EU, I reckon it'll go same way DDO went since CodeMasters will no doubt lose half of its customers just like they did with DDO.
No its been stated many times that the european version will be handled like the US version. But there is no seperate beta for Europe.
