hmm... I have been subbed to UO since it's inception but have only logged on maybe twice in the last 8 years. Does that count?

Well, I went about two weeks without playing Ryzom, sadly. I paid for the subscription but when I moved it took me awhile longer to get the cable internet set up in my new apartment. However, it has been back online for about a month now so all is well and I have been leveling and what have you with my guild.
About 3 years... closer to 3 and a half years that I kept my Everquest account after I stopped playing. I just couldn't cancel it. Eventualy I changed banks, and never renewed the credit card info.... toodles. no more EQ for me... Sniff Sniff...
At the moment I am paying for Aion but haven't really played since April although I have logged around 15 minutes in game time since then til now. I kept waiting and hoping for merges to make it better (they made it worse) and patch 2.0 is coming in Sept (supposedly according to NCSOON lol)but tbh I think nothing will help and I play Asmo so we are so darn outnumbered it would take a miracle. I sm 90% sure that I will be canceling before my next payment is taken on Aug 28. This thread has made me think about all the cash wasted on unused subs and I don't want to look back a year from now and think of the hundreds of dollars wasted so thanks O.P!
Seriously, I hate that skill system, bash me all you want but holy shit. People complain about Cash Shops being a money stealer, what about a skill / skill set that requires you to be subscribed for 6 months to a year before you can even use it, flying in circles until it trains...wasted subscription...
87 days, a friend recommended this FUN and popular game few years back. He was hyping it so much that I just went and bought the game (15€), expansion (25€) + 2 months gametimecard (~25€).
First thing I see in game is big bad tauren warrior named bull5hit (or something like that) yelling "LOL FAG!" and hopping around. After the warm welcoming to the game, I contacted my friend, and asked to join him. Heck, he couldn't he's with his guild, and I'm not welcome cause I'm a noob! And what was more interesting, talking in game with my friend was....weird, he was a total lootwhore, and annoying as hell. Outside of the game he's great but in there... >< argh! So I ran around for few days alone, and actually hit close to level 35 in that time, was bored and uninstalled. Never looked back. I have a feeling that most of you know what game I'm talking about.
I tried to get even with my friend later, and recommended STO to him, but that bastard liked it! ><

I haveo nly logged on WoW for 10-15 minutes at a time for the last 6 months, I like purveying my accomplishments every so often, I don't mind the sub costs for now, when another MMO comes out I am into I will cancel and switch.
I usually maintain one subscription at all times, never know when u feel like playing a bit.
I would say close to a month (4 weeks). Probably when I decided I didnt want to play WoW but unsubbed only a day or two after they had already charged me. I think the same thing happend with AoC. I thought I unsubbed in time but about a month later I got an email saying my account is now frozen.

I kept my EQ account active for about 12 months when I finally quit playing MMOs
Asking Devs to make AAA sandbox titles is like trying to get fine dining on a McDonalds dollar menu budget.

1 month and about 3 weeks, but it was only free time included with box purchase lol, totally wasted my money that day >.<
Damn! Unless someone can come up with more wasted sub time I guess I have to award you as the winner of my thread

If I've done it I don't remember doing it. I'm too cheap for something like that lol.

If I've been playing an MMO a long time then I will usually give it a month to see if I regain interest before unsubbing.
If it is an MMO I've only played for a short time, I unsub the moment I'm done playing because I know my mind won't change.
