i have been looking at eve and i thought it looked quite good, the reviews on mmorpg say it is very good. but i dont know if i should play it or not. i am more of a crafter, engineer. i like to manufacture goods, ya know producing items type guy. so u should be able to tell me whether or not i should try it with my 14 day trial.

Like you say, its not gonna kill you,

Stick it on download before u go bed,
    wake up and play,
you got 14 days for free (no credit card needed either)

What have u got to loose??

Personally i find it very refreshing from the usual hack n' slash.

    :)

a couple of piece's of advice:

Play thru the whole tutorial mission to familiarize yourself with the game, you will also recieve a contact for a different agent who gives u jobs for good money.

You wont grasp all the bits of the game, dont worry this is normal, its a HUGE game, just ask in the chat if you dont understand anything, there are lots of people wiling to help you :)

    have fun.

    :)

Onnie hit it right on the mark! I'll add this one thing. When you first log in, you will see your chat window in the lower left corner. I believe, by default, there is a "Help" channel open. If not, click the channels, on the left bar, find and start the help channel. Even if you are not throwing out questions, other people will be asking and a lot of us, "hang out" there just to answer these questions.

Have fun and welcome to EVE! ::::02::

Well, if you like crafting, I think you'll enjoy EVE once you get into the game a bit. You can buy/research for blueprints, further research you blueprints to make them more efficient, manufacture whatever's on the blueprint and sell it on an open player-based market.

Of course, the really valuable blueprints are extremely limited and mostly held by large corporations but, it is possible to pick your own corner of space, look at the price of minerals/price of modules, and start producing certain modules/ships/building components at very profitable prices.

I have a friend who owns high efficientcy torpedeo blueprint originals in a system with decent mineral prices and a very high demande rate on the torps, and is making enough cash to make himself some battleships in his spare time.

You can build a lot and make good money. Need to join a corp that manufacturers stuff as a newbie WILL need help with proper training regiment and access to blue prints to manufacture.
