hmm That was awesome =P I really loved this trailer.
The trailer has hype, and builds up a storyline/universe, but I'm skeptical about the game. It is browser based, and browser games usually aren't that fun. If the game had a controllable character, with an actual actual world, than a text world. But that's just me.
Yea too bad it's only a browser based mmo but still I love the setting and art style so will give it a try. And I didn't see any chinese or korean names in developer listing so this might be a plus. =P
And it's a perfect time for me to discover this game. I was searching for some simple 2d game.. hope they will release beta soon.
The trailer was cool and the storyline and concept had me interested, up until I came across the part about it being a browser based game with turn-based combat. Definitely not my thing and the combat looks kind of boring. Also, the setion of the website that describes the game features the line "heart stopping graphics" and I had to laugh at that because yeah, I don't think so hehe.
Looked kind of cool, but I am not into browser games...if it had a combat system that didn't appear to be something akin to a card game, I might have considered trying it out. This entire concept sounds like it would have been better as a full fledged action/adventure MMORPG. Actually it could have made for a vrey cool fully realized MMORPG.
Nice!
It's funny how much a simple trailer can get me hyped =P
"heart stopping graphics" - For some reason most of those browser games have very weak art direction. They usually have some lower resolution pictures and uninspiring environments. I have no idea why since making 2d pictures is so much easier and cost efficient than making games in 3d. From the few pictures I found on their website it looks nice and sharp that's why I think this part of a feature list has a reason to be there. =P Obviously you have to like 2d to appreciate it. =]
"Heart-stopping graphics.."
Check out the combat screen. Heart-stopping meow!
so...
I stopped at "browser-based". That say's it all for me.
Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
" Nadrim features strong PvP"
That one quote alone condemns this game. Any pvp game with an item shop turns into a endless money pit to be competitive and doing that in a browser based game seems quite senseless.
Looks like it's just morphed pictures. Enh!
That doesn't have to be true. There are several F2P titles with strong PvP out there which doesn't rely on the ItemShop. And beyond that I doubt that you're forced to play PvP if you don't want to. So I'll give the beta a try. Looks pretty promising and different from all the other standard browser games out there
PvE: daily and group quests; random beating up of MOBs? (IOW: Pure grind?)
PvP: arena or "competitions." (IOW: their "strong PvP" sounds entirely staged and consensual. Ha!)
...aaand you can train pets or "hire servants" so you never have to fight alone! Squeeee!
However, their beta will only last a couple of months, at best. (CB: end of August '10; release Autumn '10).
The quality of games being boosted on this site just continues to plummet past "bloody horrific."
Die in a browser fire? Please?
Where is the good old "I will see for myself before flaming, maybe I even like the game" spirit gone? We've seen nothing more than few screenshots and a trailer and you are already condemning the game? Wow.
It's a browser game.. it doesn't need long beta to be honest. Games like this are so much simpler than normal mmos so I don't see a reason to have only 1 or 2 month beta.
Arabian Nights adventures? Nice! What does it mean by browser based?
I would guess that no download and installation is needed. So pretty cool to play it even when you're not at home
