I'll assure you, this game is going to be epic. Give it some time after the launch, and it will grow and expand just as much as FFXI. People who are still negative or reluctant on this game, better go look elsewhere, and leave any Final Fantasy game alone.
That was very neat. Always thought it was a shame that we as players generally can't appreciate the monsters graphics or animations mainly because as soon as you get close enough to look you're fighting for your life. I would honestly consider that an argument for not wasting the resources in doing so unless there's some meta game activity that encourages observation.

Still, really looking forward to this game.
I think it's a big plus that I actually remember what I fought at which level.
Usually in MMO's I just target -something-, do 1 2 3 1 2 3 rotation and move to next -something-.
Using LOL is like saying "my argument sucks but I still want to disagree".
Some how my ancient PC with a pentium 4 is able to run this game. Looking at all the polygons from this video I don't know how it runs so smooth. This is the first game I played in a long time that has 0 hitching. The graphics are breath taking. Nice to finally play a mmo with developers that know what they are doing.
they dont use cgi.. for there cutscenes scripted in game gfx
The first scene seen in the previous trailers is CGI, where a group fights a morbolger.
It's pretty awesome that it's getting harder and harder to spot the difference. I remember thinking that CGI cutscenes for XI would have been awesome, but for this game I don't think they're even needed anymore.

Comments
Imagine them using the orginal 3d sculptures in the game lol, think the benchmark would be INSANE for that

I'm already having a hard time telling the difference between the CGI trailer Morbolger and the in-game one...
I can't wait to play this.
Cant wait for it

Yeah, just the number of polygons for each model is pretty amaizing. I hope they don't decide to downscale all of them at final launch.
I wonder if they'll ever release the uncompressed models... tesselation anyone?
SE has already said the resolution on PS3 is 1/2 that of PC, and textures have been reduced to 1/4.
And its been delayed 6 months too
