Blizzard Entertainment, in conjunction with the Pandaren Xpress® chain of quality restaurants, is proud to announce the /panda program! Imagine you are on an instance run in Maraudon, Dire Maul, or even Blackrock Spire. Two long hours into the dungeon and you suddenly notice the hunter in your group feeding his pet. That triggers a rumbling in your belly, which reminds you that you haven't eaten anything all day! How can you satisfy your craving without abandoning your group?! Before, there was nothing for you to do but suffer in hunger. Now, thanks to Pandaren Xpress®, creators of low-priced gourmet meals, you no longer have to leave the group for a food break. In less time than it takes your party's casters to regain mana (even less if you don't have a mage), you can order Chinese take-out from the comfort of your chair! No more tedious walking over to the telephone! No more arduous pushing of unfamiliar phone numbers! Simply type "/panda" in the game, and a GM will take your food order through the use of our innovative in-game Pandaren Xpress® menu. Within minutes, a Pandaren Xpress® delivery person will arrive at your door with a veritable feast! With each /panda order, you will also receive an in-game Pandaren Fortune Cookie! The Pandaren Fortune Cookie not only tells you a fortune, but it also gives your player a random 30-minute buff (or debuff)! |

Surely you didn't take this seriously on April Fools Day?
haha
yeah its a stab at a certain other mmo's feature i believe i liked the lines: "order Chinese take-out from the comfort of your chair! No more tedious walking over to the telephone! No more arduous pushing of unfamiliar phone numbers! " or on http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/underdev/pandaren-xpress.html the bannor in upper corner lol
Godz of War I call Thee
I think it's kind of humorous that they feel so threatened by SOE that they poke humor at the /pizza command
LOL
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.
Sig image Pending
Still in: A couple Betas
I thought it was humorous you thought Blizzard was feeling threatened by SOE.
LOLOL I fell for it at first too
Elnator - you are a joke if you think Blizzard is threatened by SOE's /pizza command
Frankly, I find the /pizza thing to be 1 more demonstration of SOE's commitment to commercialism above their commitment to the game and 1 more reason for me to try WoW instead.
Have played: Everquest, Asheron's Call, Horizons, Everquest2, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Darkfall
I am COMPLETELY amazed that ANYONE believed that. It was incredibly funny but the most obviously fake April's Fools EVER. I feel sorry for those who actually believed it.
Pretty good one =0) I don't think anything will top last year's implementation of the Two-headed Giant playable character in WOW - where two people are paired up randomly to each be a one "head". Very detailed explanation about how everything would be viable. Kinda makes you think these are things where at one time seriously considered for implementation into the game but ultimately decided against.
~It's taffy.
Thats funny there is a Pandaren Xpress on campus in my town I was like fook yah. They dont do dilivery.
Chopes got
Nice try at a cover up "*APRIL FOOLS*" lmao
why don't they do this though? they already have my address, billing information and can add a menu easily.
I thought it was humorous you thought Blizzard was feeling threatened by SOE.
ditto lol

I spotted this jest right off the bat, though I'm a few days late to the thread,..
As a well versed hunter of 57 levels, I was able to spot this tom foolery right off the bat when they said seeing a hunter in the group feeding a pet,... everyone knows hunters don't get groups, esp at high levels <grin>
Don't flame, tis just a jest 8)
