Free trial not for narrowband users

Downloaded the free trial at work (BB connection there). Took it home and installed it. Activated my free trial. The updater started going once I got to the login screen. It was taking quite a while to come up with an estimated update time, so I took a shower and came back. Estimated time remaining: 240 hours!
"Very impressive! This give me great confidence that thsi is a well thought out game," I thought to myself. Then I uninstalled.
In all fairness my NB connection is quite crappy. 26K on average (ouch!). However I've played WoW, CoH, DAoC and many others with it and had no problems. I never imagined i would have to dowload several Gigs of files in order to play a demo that is only a 17 meg dowload . . . .
I don't want to write this, and you don't want to read it. But now it's too late for both of us.

Yup, I faced the same dissapointment myself, beeing on a 56k modem. Though it would take me "only" 100 hours. God, I hate modems but there is no possibilty for me to upgrade right now either...I hate having temporary residenses (which I will have until September). Actually I hate about everything in my life at the moment
