Howdy, Stranger!

Anyone else disappointed?

And I mean that literally. Not upset with some sort of mechanic or anything like that, or pissed because of the whole epic billing fuckup a few months back. I mean just really let down that this game tanked so hard and failed in so many fundamental ways. Warhammer is really one of the few IPs that has a deep enough lore behind it that also happens to be interesting rather than filled with bland filler and characters nobody knows about or cares about that I can get into, and the ToK and being able to play in that world was going to be awesome. Now it's basically never going to happen as the IP was used, it got hosed, and you can't even hope for WH40k as that's already looking like a disaster (unless you're looking for a casual P2P MMOFPS in the warhammer universe).

This game really just makes me go )=

    I feel you.

I was so hyped for this game. The first tier was great when the game released.  So was the 2nd. Then..we all know what happened.

It is sad something that should have been so great was so poorly done. At least AOC fixed most of thier problems. Mythic just kept making it worse.

I preordered and got my friends to try it. To this day people I wokr with bring this up whne ever i try to talk them into another game.

I am no where near dissapointed with this game, at all.

I am dissapointed I can't afford playing right now since my economy doesn't allow it as it is now.

IMHO, The reason why this game tanked is because the Lovely "INTELLEGENT" people at Mythic decided to make a "NEW" game with a 15+ year old engine. that is what destroyed this game.

Personally I think it failed because of the stupid " queue for an instanced battle from anywhere" mechanic. At the very least RvR lakes should have been the primary means of PvP leveling, with battle queues taking a backseat for off-peak when lake battles weren't happening.

Of course I'm seriously disappointed too : played it for four months till the release and though I've recently gave it a try once again with the trial I just can't bear to play it no more, free or not.

Very first game I play which is sold as RvR but rewards a very lot more PvE than PvP.

Boring RvR system, currently all servers are basique ones : no more real open RvR, but anyway the open RvR servers were so much fucked up I can't even begin to believe they would ever open pvp servers in the futur, maps utterly badly designed, 2 factions only, no RvR rewards at the beginning, bad engine optimization, and so on...

Hopefully former Mythic ceo said with such a deep ip as warhammer, a solid editor like EA and their 10 years of good experience in RvR kind of mmos they just couldn't fail or else it would be a real bad sign for the mmo industry. Moreover he was so much bashing the AOC dev team it's absolutely laughable to death how Mythic failed whereas AOC made its way despite its bad release.

Actually I do not believe Bioware can change anything to the inexorable oblivion and death penalty sentence path WAR took, even if it goes F2P and despite an hypothetical expansion and an even more fancyful add of a third faction...

It's just one step from the sublime to the ridiculous.

I had more fun playing Tier 1 and 2 in this game than I'd had playing any other MMO in yeeeears. I was so hyped for the game and SOOOO excited upon release. I was having a blast, and even early on in Tier 3 (when it was only the power gamers) the Scenario's were fun as balls. Then everything went wrong... but you know what? I'd do it all over again. I had so much fun playing for 4 months. But by the time T4 was populated it just wasn't worth it...  I miss it though =

I still remember being told and convinced that crown-control wouldn't be so rampant in the game. Boy was that wrong! I can't remember the name of the volcano scenario in T3, but that was the start of the end for me.

Should have stuck more to its tabletop roots IMO.

Vault-Tec analysts have concluded that the odds of worldwide nuclear armaggeddon this decade are 17,143,762... to 1.

Mythic should have stuck more to their own roots in my opinion.
