SBFordSBFord Former Associate EditorMember LegendaryPosts: 33,129

ChangYou has announced that Zentia will be open to all beginning August 16th. From the sixteenth on, players will not need a beta key to participate in Zentia. In addition, all accounts and characters will be carried over to the open beta in Q4 2010.

“Our goal is to bring the ‘Fun’ back into the MMORPG gaming community. With Zentia, we’ve successfully accomplished this by offering unique features like multi-passenger mounts, humorous content, in-depth social leveling system and a competitive PvP gameplay for both casual and hardcore gamers,” says Susan Revelt, Senior Producer of Zentia. “The world of Zentia is so vast that even our product team hasn’t uncovered all of its secrets.”

This game is like Alganon was but even worse when it comes to a UI looking EXACTLY like WoW's.

This game lasted less than a day on my computer.  Why they even bothered to make it is beyond me.

This game is different from your typical Asian F2P. It has some genuine tongue-in-cheek humor. You can get a good taste of it from the trailer on the web site. I mean, one of their slogans is "Enjoy the outdoors!" If you think that's silly, and you enjoy silly, then you might enjoy the game. Also, the pet and mount capturing/trainng system looks like it might have some depth. (The crafting sucks though.)

So many people complain that the interface on (name any mmo) is too similar to the one in WoW.  Gee, let's see, they are all trying to do pretty much the same thing with the same hardware, what do you expect, 3d spinning orbs and telepathic messaging?

Do you complain about all the cars you buy having the same controls?  No, of course not, it's a system that works really well for that situation, the same as the hotbar interface the mmos use.

If you don't like it, design something better, otherwise you can stuff it.

Lost my mind, now trying to lose yours...

I have been waiting for this. The CB was really fun and I love it. I like playing something that puts a smile on your face when you play. We are looking for entertainment aren't we? It's a cute design and I will be playing.

Remember how successful Spellborn's new and innovative UI was? Players want familiarity when it comes down to it. Why reinvent the wheel? You'll just go bankrupt.

    There is NO miracle patch.

95% of what you see in beta won't change by launch.

    Hope is not a stategy.
