SWTOR IS seamless world

canibusclubcanibusclub Member Posts: 84

The game is open world seamless and without loading screens. You will run into other players all over the map while doing your quests. i am about fed up with people calling it a "co-op" and "single player game".

These people have no clue what they are talking about. Anyone who has played the demo of this game can tell you that it is nothing like that. It is open world you run into other players, i can't recall not one loading screen while I played this demo.

This is a true MMO.  Don't get it confused with something else.

So you played the singleplayer demo?

    You heard it here first.

This is the first MMO. Everything prior that had a loading screen anywhere in the game was just pretending.

I believe it is a MMO, but I doubt it will be seemless, simply because of the multiple planets you can visit. So, I wouldn't say seamless on a technicality.

I think some people just focus on the story part to much, and forget that there are plenty of persistant areas in the game.

That isn't even what I am talking about here....   I think people have confused this game with something like Gw1 and I am here to tell you that is not the case. If I had to compare my experience with something it would be like WoW or Aion, but without the grind. Enemies being taken out fairly easy and story was pretty interesting.

Any other themepark game of those nature. Wasn't no swg, but it wasn't a  "co-op" either .. it was a themepark like the ones I mentioned.

Oh yea, when you get to a starport to travel from the next planet , which I was unable to do, you will probably be greeted with a loading screen there. But I didn't notice one on the planet I was at...  nal hutta

Again, how did you experience a "demo" of an mmo that is not even completed ad released yet?

That is irrelevant , tbh....   You are asking too many questions my fellow forum goer.

Wait, so were there NPCs that gave these quests? Other people playing at the same time without a TCP/IP connection? Was there some sort of server that everyone was connected to? Hmm....well that sounds like an MMO if that's the case.

I don't know who's calling this a single-player game. I think the people doing that are either upset with design directions this game has taken or are just trolling. Feeding them won't help you in any way. My opinion on the game so far is that it's looking like not so much a single-player game, but a very non-innovative one. Gameplay mechanics have been done already ad nauseum and the space combat looks like it'll be some sort of "on-the-side arcade game". I already have Star Fox 64 on my emulator, I don't need to play it in an MMO I'm paying a monthly fee for.

I'll continue to follow this game, and unless it gets RAVE reviews, I probably won't get it.

I'm going to have to concur with the questioning. Without some sort of proof, your claims are just as empty as anyone who says the contrary.

It a legit question... You gave out a bunch of statments about what the game is or isn't. All he's asking for how you obtain this knowledge.

Negative, this is not so... there are indeed loading screens I do believe.

I don't care if it gets rave reviews. i'm not all that excited about it, tbh. It is an MMO on my list of several I may be looking into playing. I will more than likely buy the game and try to enjoy it and if I end up liking the game I will continue to play it.

For that one guy, I use the word demo because that is what it looked like to me, the devs can call it whatever word they want.

honestly that picture does not do the game justice. Like I said they were having problems with the graphics rendering that day. They told us to expect problems. If I had the settings on medium or something it would have came out better I think. We had to log in and out several times to get the graphics to work , this was several months ago.
