Why I stopped playing Lineage 2
Played On Sieghardt as a dwarf known as Sacred.
Got screwed out of 300,000 dollars worth of gear by a clan leader, who was having me store my drops and mats in the clan warehouse which isn't unheard of.
Then he dissolved the clan.
So I went to Hindemith
and played my human mage to cleric then got to lvl 44 prophet.
I was also then screwed out of 6,000,000 by my clan leader.
I was Deadangel if you played on Hindemith there is a good chance you heard me around dion since at one point me and my clan took its castle.
I participated in the fall of TorTure, and Reborn.
I spent my time recovering my lost money and grinding.
Never once did I Ebay, Never once did I use a macro or bot.
I had a pvp/pk of 34/15
I had lower C grade armor and the lowest C grade mage weapon on my prophet all loaned to me by the leader of braveheart because I had lost every thing.
I seen a lot of bad things.
Gouyan and Goulin two bounty hunters level 55+ using Fake death with Death lords and knights on Cruma tower level 2...to kill parties of people that drop their armor.
I seen stong001-005 farming inside the starting area for humans.
I was killed by Evilseed when I was rerolling on talking island.
I killed evil seed with my main ouside Gludio while he was raiding.
I witnessed Anubis scamming, I seen chinese botters at every starting area, I have dropped over 3 million in gear on countless deaths.
People I knew bought millions from IGE and ebay.
The grind was terrible...
This game is nothing but a let down. I played for 5-6 months but I feel I accomplished nothing.
This is also the very first MMORPG that I ever tried.

Low Drops
Terrible GM's
Community is awful
PvP/Karma System is nothing but a Griefer Tool
The Clan 'I cook Eggrolls' (xICex) had me on their kill list because a guy died while I was their healer. (not my fault he drew two aggros when he wasn't our tank)
3-4 of them would stand around me one guy would take his armor off and give it to his pal, then use his Backstab and kill me, then they would fight monsters till he was white again, and when ever they saw me they would kill me causing me to lose another 4% exp which is about 13,000 exp.
So when that wasn't happening Memebers of PK inc would show up and kill every one.
This game is to unrestricted.
Every one has rerolled a Dagger DD or Mage DD and can kill any one any time.
Its one GIANT pissing contest.

Deadangel - Im honestly sorry to hear about your losses. Ungrateful and unethical. I am in Lionna with a great guild and alliance. We've been together since the beginning of L2 and we've always helped each other. If you feel like coming back one day, I'll be glad to help you out in terms of equipment and adena - just to help you get started.

I gave L2 a good 4 months of money after beta testing the game. The ebaying, botting, cheating, and outright bad element of punkass kids that play this game (and most others) are what got me to quit. I'm a Lineage I player since beta and I still play. NCSoft is easily the most shitty customer support group for any game (both for L1 and L2) and when the finally cracked down on ebaying for L1 adena, you would naturally assume they'd do it for L2...but noooo... you can buy RL cash all you want for L2.
Anyway, it's the prettiest game I've ever seen, even prettier than WOW (which I've also abandoned now). But it's lack of adequate monitoring, poor customer support, and deathly slow game play is what is screwing them. City of Heroes will abide the same exact descriptions as mentioned above once it gets going more. NCSoft is about cash, not customers. They rely too much on their Korean monopoly to give a crap about securing their US player base.

Are you sure you're playing on the live NA servers ? Honestly, the art of farming for US$ has infested every server, from the lowest dungeon in starter areas to the top of ToI.
Sure, some servers are worse then others when it comes to this, but they all have botters / farmers and the alike.
On gustin i had to go the one of the ruins (i forget which one) to kill skeletons for my warriors class transfer. I have to kill 10 stupid skeletons, and it took nearly an hour. Why you ask?
8, Count um, 8, bots in the same area targeting only the skeletons i needed. BAGH! It wont bother me so much when im high enough to kill them.
It just got really annoying when i spot one, only to get beaten to it by Gox15bt of some other stupid DE bot.
Otherwise, thats the only place ive seen them on Gustin.

Well if you go to the Dragon Valley and near the newer cave there, I promise you will see a group of people walking in a perfect single file line, completely in step with each other, all with really strange names (lovesan1 through 7) and they won't respond to anything you do to them.
at one point I would buff and heal the monsters they were fighting with a bishop friend of mine, often causing them to drop some of their gear.
Actually woosh, some games have strict security measures to prevent this. in alot of games ive played, ive seen not a single botter (exempt Ragnarok online, but steps are taken to pevent this).
Its really bad hearing this game is a scammer nexus, I was planning on trying it.
And another thing woosh, its better to do something than just sit back and watch it crumble, unless it is something everyone hates.

I think it's the objective of your past self to make you cringe.
Ragnarok Online "took steps to curve bots" in beta 1 stage already (4-5 years ago?), same problem exists today(!) becuase the client-program is a huge joke (the bots are/where written in visual basic, one guy with a shop-bot released the code after Gravity banned him. After that 99% of all player merchants in citys used it. This was in beta2).
Im thinking the same is going on in Lineage II, if you cant see thruu game code who is a bot then you need to observe them by following them around (or trying to talk to them but after the 20:th or so person that asks you if you are a bot then it becomes just as annyoing as a bot). (But if 10 or so bots go on the exact same path 50 times a day it should be obvious in server loggs who is a bot).
Right now the Game Companies (behind LineageII & RO) are scared of IP banning (& banning depending on "network card number") becuase after one account is banned they (bot-users) buy a new one which means more money for the company. (If there are IP-bans going on I havent heard anything about it, neither from fans or officially).

Well look at it like this. Friend of mine got banned for hunting Bots down.
He would go to where the bots hunt, which is the starting areas for any race. Outside Gludio and Gludin for lower level bot/farmers for ebay. He went red and One shot killed about 1000 different people during the course of his subscription.
Why should you been banned if your not breaking EULA or doing something that isn't allowed. This game is FULL PVP.
Which lead me to believe that they're specifically supporting the Ebay/IGE Farmers and protecting their interests.
In all honesty it makes sense. They make they same 15.00 dollars a month from a farmer they would from any player so why would it matter who they help? ban the one guy who is killing other players, or ban the people who are more in numbers and have a pattern of de leveling and hunting the same zone 24 hours a day.
Its not hard to figure out who the bots are in this game. I have reported countless bots to GM's and none got banned.
I also quit Lineage 2 some time ago, and it was the worst online experience I ever had. Its the worst investment you can make in both time and money. I did not lost any items or money. The only nice thing in the game is the art (and it gets tedious after 2 or 3 months), all the rest sucks. The game has nothing to do with self achievement, its all about grind and grind and grind. Its not done for the ocidental cultures.
NCSOFT is probably the company with the worst costumer relations knowledge in the gaming industry, and if you play L2, expect the worst from them. They do it all wrong, their strategy can only work with a dumb, submissive and brainless society and community of players, like the oriental.
There are a ton of very goood managed private servers, play there if you want to experience the game, because it doesnt worth your money.
Like one good friend I knew in L2 that left for WoW said: "L2 is the worst mmorpg I've played, you dont get any fun, achievement, its all about screwing other players heads"

I went out last week and bought the game just to try it. The character combat is tops. Here is what happened to me in one day and why I deleted the game of my system. I may change my mind but anyway..
Saturday, As soon as I left the trainer and headed out to the city, I was met by a level 19 who proceeded to kill me. I resurected in town I headed out of town and was met by a level 25 who one shoted me so I could resurect back in town. I said screw it and logged out.
I came back two hours later and played for about 2 hours and leveled to 4 at which time a level 54 daggered me to death. I managed to play about 6 hours and no ne killed me and I made it to level 9 so I thanked my lucky stars and logged.

I logged in and headed out to Orcs to get to level 10 on the way out of town a level 24 hit me but I refused to fight. He did not want to red so he left me alone. I leveled to 10 and just entered ER when a griefer by the name of DExtream killed me and slaughtered everyone inside ER.
At this point I said screw this shit. This game is absolutly the worst MMO I have ever played. Then I got to thinking what they should do to make it more playable for the low level players and how to pervent this kind of thing from happening.
1. - Any one can become a player killer but there is a penalty of karma * the difference in level. The player killer has to work off more debt killing equal level mobs or other player killers. The difference in level to the amount of debt is then subtracted from his current debt. HOWEVER if a player dies while red it is PERANENT. meaning he looses all his equipment and can not play again. This allows a player to kill as many low levels as he wishes but he risks peranent death as a result of his actions and allows bounty hunters to remove them from the community.
I would return to Linage II in a heart beat if they impelmented this system because is is much more fair and allows for some reality to the game instead of being just a free for all with little meaning.

I understand why people do that to you, and its simple:
PKing is the only thing one can enjoy in L2, all the rest is boredom.
Hey On that Screen you have Prophet Buffs. I used to give those buffs to people all the time.
That much karma running around with theca isn't a good idea though.
The Pking never stops. No matter your level.
Even the highest level guy will be ganged by a group of reds.
Expect to lose EXP every single day to pkers.
